Husband threatening to deport me

I arrived to the US on IR1 visa, my husband hit me 2 days after I arrived and he locked me in the basement to punish me for saying that I am not a cleaning lady.

when he went to work I left and I am staying with a friend of mine.

I haven't received my green card and ssn yet, I have to change the address because he won't give them to me if he gets them and I don't want him to have them.

I don't want to see him ever again.

as soon as I arrived he changed and turned into a monster.

How can I make sure he doesn't get the GC and SSN??

Please help me.

Did you pay the $220 Immigration fee to get the green card produced? The SS card probably already sent. You can notify SS office and get  another one sent to a new address probably.
Put in a change of address on USCIS.gov now.

Sorry what you are going through. Be sure to alert Immigration also you left the home so he doesn't call and say you abandoned him and it causes more issues for you down the road.

Good news at least you will get the 10 year green card so nothing to have to deal with him anymore.

Sorry to hear. That kind of behaviour from your husband is sad. Make sure you change your address at USCIS. https://www.uscis.gov/addresschange

Yes I paid the $220 already, I arrived only a week ago

Go to the SS office on Monday so they can hopefully change address in system. many times they won;t just change it without a proof of address. But still go there.
For the green card that's easy put in Change of address so it comes to correct address. Do that today online. Follow up next week that it is all updated.

You change address online dear. It's all online and yes it works. How else will you change your address.

You have to realize if you are the lucky one and SS card was generated once you arrived the card comes to your address in 10 to 14 dats. So it could be delivered any day. That's why I am telling you to go to the SS office and explain.
the green card you have time before delivery change your address right now. You can do that now.

It works but takes some time but you have to do it and then call after 30 days to make sure they have your new address on file.

also change address with USPS set up account so you can see when and what mail is arriving. I also believe you can ask them to hold mail for you for a while that way they at least wouldn’t deliver it.

What if I also call the USCIS after I change it online? will they make sure they have the correct address?

Yes. I had to do that and it worked fine after I gave them a call 30 days after the online change.
go to the link above and change your address now.

I asked about changing my address in my previous post

now I got an email from my husband saying that he will do everything to get me deported

He is demanding that I give him $50K if I want to keep my green card

He told me to go beg my friends and family to give me money or go work as a prostitute.

He is a terrible person. can he do something to me?

I left his apartment after less than week of being there after he abused me.

Not only is he powerless to have you deported, he is LEGALLY bound by the I-864 he signed for your support.
