    My husband added me to his account with just a copy of my birth certificate, our marriage certificate, my passport and my overseas Tax ID… regions have a process where they can use that info if no US documents available… see if your bank has the same. Once I was put on the joint account, opening my own savings account was easy… giving me 2 accounts with my US address on them

    I took my work authority, NOA1, passport and marriage certificate with me to DMV and of course hubby with all his ID as proof of address, applied for my driver licence… was accepted no problem… worth a try nothing to lose

    Pretty sure I uploaded over the old one… and it simply updated that way i did write in the comments box tho… “correct document as stipulated by US Consulate Sydney”

    Assuming you live with your wife and you’ve being filing your taxes as married (either joint or seperate) what happens when your parents upload proof of income? Or household members? You don’t think they’ll ask questions then? What about when they go for their interviews? You don’t plan on giving them copies of this info to take with them? how does your wife feel about you hiding her existence from your parents? honesty is the best policy.. time to come clean and inform them that your married

    I had a hell of a time with my certificate… NVC finally accepted it after I wrote “this certificate has been confirmed as the correct reciprocal document as listed on Sydney US Consulate website” in the comments box right next to where I uploaded it. Not sure if the comment was reason it was accepted or not, but they did is all that matters..
