I know the USCIS offices won't open until June 4th (hopefully). But doesn't anyone else keep checking their account hoping to see their interview has been rescheduled? 🤣 I would assume/hope that they would start rescheduling interviews a few weeks before they reopen to allow people time to get prepared.

If you're just dropping your middle name and your last name is the same, I wouldn't think you need to change them. That said you can call and find out if they will change it with out any fees. I was able to get my name changed on my mortgage really easy. For my car I would have had to re-register and pay extra fees and I didn't want to do that.

So my point is that this thread is for DECEMBER FILERS 2019.

Of course you are not in a hurry because you have a 0% chance of being able to vote this year.

I think there is hope to get citizenship for some locations, which location are you with?

The case completion times estimates never make any sense to me. Ours still says January 2021 which I know isn't true. My husband was supposed to have his interview in April. If they open on June 4th, I am hoping for an late June/early July interview.

I too hope mine is wrong. It says 10 months. I just finished my Master's and would like to move on the federal jobs. I hope it's much sooner than 10 months.

You are right, they need to do all the biometrics for all the people who have applied since March.  Everybody loves the Swiss, so you will be the first one through the door when they reopen. However, I still have this daunting thought in the back of my head that they would prefer half a million immigrants to naturalise after the October deadline for registering to vote.
