We were treated very well throughout the whole process as well. My citizenship application last year (YES, UNDER President Donald Trump!!) took 5 months. So don't believe the liberal ####### you hear. I am gay AND black and FROM Africa.
 
It is not an easy process and you have to be VERY organized. Government employees like everything in order, submitted online clearly, well labelled and CORRECT. Don't make them hunt around for things.

I wouldn't bet on it. If your fiance does not even have the K1, by the time he gets the visa, then he travels here, marries and you file for AOS/EAD/AP, it will conservatively be mid-March at the earliest? Then count upwards of four-six months from March 2020 for the EAD/AP. It is a combo card by the way. Will get him an ID/Drivers License for one year and entry back into the USA for one year. Have to renew after 9 months or so.

I can chime in here. We are a same-sex couple too AND he is from a homophobic country (much much less so than other countries though).
We are no AOS interview and no I-751 interview. I know of two other couples as well. Their AOS interview was two questions in total each. They had both been together for 7 and 10 years together respectively. 
 
Not sure if these questions are normal or not. I KNOW for certain my spouse would have flunked many of these questions....wow!!. He is not a detail orientated person. I am the detained one....:-(

In our state it is a hassle to add a spouse to the deed as well. Takes about $500 and lot of paperwork. If you can, do a Home equity Loan and add him that way. If that is not possible, then Checking accounts, Wills, Codiciles, HealthCare proxies, 401K, health Insurance, Life, etc...

They follow the law. Plus, any decisions are vetted by secondary review COs

BOTH those have to be a wet signature. Unfortunately. Just take the emailed copy and you will get a 221. Then send in the originals......

Hello. I feel very badly for you about this. A thing to be very careful about is this. Spending a lot of time on the process will take time for you to step back and ask yourself a very important series of questions.
 
...how long has this 'drinking' going on?
...you know it will not stop when he comes to the USA...right? 
...and you deal with this or worse when you and he marry?
 
Maybe I would step back and assess?

Agreed....I don't think President Trump is that bad...(got a mouth on him though). He is about effort and business..so this is understandable

I agree with the replies...(don't forget to provide copies of everything if they ask you or take it to the Citizenship hearing). USCIS will ask you about this. Not a bar to getting citizenship though....

The I-751 'should' be transferred to the Citizenship USCIS Office. If it is not, they cannot adjudicate the Green Card. In our case they did both at the same time with AP lasting maybe 5 minutes.
 
My spouse was called in and asked if he is my Husband. He said yes...and that was it.

There is you answer...Ghana citizens have some of the highest fraud rates....I suspected as much
