I came down to the FL Keys Thursday night after work for the labor day weekend.  I am either incredibly stupid or I have found the safest spot in FL.  Surprised that even Thursday there were lines at ALL the gas stations I passed, and many were out of gas.  Lucky for me I have a diesel and that is almost always available.  Thinking I may head back up to the mainland before this hits.   Not much panic here in the Keys as the stores have plenty of beer.
 
Irma hit me with the eye wall in both locations, here on Big Pine and in Naples.  I should be safe from Dorian.
 

Sure.  When her parents were here visiting I cooked them a hamburger on the grill.  Served it on a bun.  They knocked it off the bun, ate the bun as a dinner roll, and ate the hamburger with a fork and knife and told me I made a great cutletky.
 
When the wife cooks she throws the leftovers in a pan and fries it and calls it caca malacca.  Something "special" in Russian!
 
 

Funny, I got away down to the Keys this weekend and the weather isn't great...off and on rain so I'm not getting out on the water to boat or fish.  Instead I am doing maintenance, mostly painting.  And I have more free time than usual.  So, what am I watching??

What about your husband? Can he do the research and relay the results to you?
 
As for a public school, generally that is determined by where you live. Most people don't have a choice. If that's not acceptable, it might be easier to find a new address to move into before arrival with a more acceptable school.
Private schools are an option, although they are not cheap.
Homeschooling is an option, but you have to really, really look at the requirements. Some states are quite strict on what is permitted, ensuring compliance with the public school curriculum, etc.
Online K-12 schools are an option, but I don't have enough experience with them to provide meaningful advice.

I don't understand how the heck you people have so much time to watch movies and netflix series.  With work and taking care of a house and yard and such I barely have time to eat and take the dog for a walk and check VJ.

Looks like you manage time pretty well too. Good you get the weekend away. I am trying to do that more. 
 
  A lot of things I used to waste time on don't seem worth it now. That includes all the extra hours I used put in at work. I agree it was easier to do more being younger and single, but I watch some of the youngsters now putting in weekends of overtime with no real plan,  maybe blowing the money on an expensive car they don't really need, and I think man, use that time now before you get married and have kids and go do something.

Don't know how it works at O'Hare, but we bought a puppy online that was shipped to us from South America.  Picked her up at the cargo location in Ft. Lauderdale.  Had to sign the usual paperwork, but it was all pretty easy and didn't take more than an hour or so.

What a joke this system is. If you ask me, if the Petitioner is in the USA and the fiance is in her home country, that would be considered a FAKE relationship because two people who truly love each other need to be together. Not spending time apart..
