I had my state senator reach out to uscis last month and they recently sent me the below update. Does this mean anything?

Hi Wendy,

Thank you for your inquiry on behalf of your constituent, ______, regarding the I-129F petition, filed with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

I am able to confirm that your constituent’s Form I-129F petition (receipt number (removed)) is assigned to an officer and undergoing review. While we are unable to project a specific date a decision will be rendered in his/her case, new correspondence can be expected shortly.

Please advise your constituent that he can remain updated on the adjudication of his case by entering the receipt number in the "Check Your Case Status" portal, located on our website at www.uscis.gov.

If you wish to follow-up to a Service Center response, please do so by submitting a new inquiry via the OLA Web Portal or, if unable to submit via the portal.

what was your file date? are you outside normal processing times? This looks like a pretty standard response form letter. I also requested they remove the case number from your posting for security reasons. need to know when you filed, when you received NOA1, did you receive NOA2? If you complete your timeline we can see where you are in the process, and help you out more,

I checked the USCIS website, they are saying 13 months for K1 processing, so you are just over the processing time by a few days, or you requested help right before the time was out of processing, but I would expect you should get NOA2 really soon. You can sort and filter the timelines here and see if other people who filed in May have gotten NOA2. that will give you an idea where you stand.

Why a state senator instead of a U.S senator?

I suspect they meant to say a US senator from their state, not "state senator", they just didn't word it properly. A state senator would probably not even respond.
