  1. My husband was refused under 221(g) because they wanted a second Dr visit. The kept his passport at the London embassy. Is this considered administrative processing? He went to the second Dr visit on Mar 6, 2023 and passed. The Dr sent this info to London on Mar 10 and it was reviewed Mar 18. However, his status still shows as refused and hasn't updated since. There are no gray areas as the second Dr visit was fine so idk why they won't process his British passport and allow him to come here. Is it just too soon? Any thoughts?
  2. I have what I think is a similar situation. Admins, if this isn't the correct place for this post, please advise. My intention is not to highjack someone else's post. 3. I wrote my Congressman about how badly my husband was treated compared to those crossing illegally and said that very thing! If someone isn't drinking before this process, they certainly will be after! Good luck on everything and I hope you're here with your loved ones very soon.
  4. Be ready to explain every detail. They asked my husband about an entry from 14 years ago. He had several deaths in his family, thought he was drinking too much and sought help from his Dr. He had no other entries about alcohol AND his blood/urine came back clean but they wanted to know all the details from the Dr about that visit. Ridiculous, imo, since there was no other entry, it was from 14 years ago AND their own tests indicated no problems. I'm not trying to worry you, but warning you so you're not blindsided like he was. I have to wonder if all this is our reward for trying to do this process legally and doubt if those streaming across out southern border are vetted this much.
  5. My advice you is to be prepared as much as possible. My husband's medical went smoothly, however, the medical Dr asked about every detail of the police report. idk why a medical Dr is asking about non-medical things...
  6. Congrats! We were DQd on Dec 7 and my husband's interview is Jan 25th. That may give you a little insight as to when to expect your interview.
  7. He didn't take the health summary because it wasn't mentioned but they said to email it. He's had trouble getting things from the Drs office in the past too. He put his mom on it and she won't give up until it's in his hand. The Dr surgery will be wanting to get it to him once they deal with her. 🤣 Funny thing is, I can get mine emailed to me from my US Dr in under an hour. Things that make you say, Hmmmm. 😉
  8. His medical was last Friday and went smoothly. He said there was no problem scheduling appts as a ton were available for London. The hardest part was the 5 hour bus ride down from Manchester.
  9. My husband got his interview scheduled for Jan 25th. We were DQd Dec 7. London embassy is rocking!
  10. I saw someone with a submission date of Oct 26th get DQd. Fingers crossed as I'm the 28th!
  11. I got 2 RFEs from NVC and was devastated on the second one. They had the gall to ask for court documents from my husband being short 1 pound 30 on a train fare. The conductor wrote him up (grrrr) and he paid it out like a parking ticket. We have practically open borders to our south and NVC comes looking for court records over less than $2 worth of train fare?!!
  12. Just checked the website and NVC is saying they're on Oct 7.
  13. I uploaded another police certificate since that's what was rejected. When I hit "submit" nothing happens. It stays on "uploaded". What am I doing wrong?
  14. I got an RFE and submitted yesterday so I guess we'll all wait together.
  15. No. There's no photo or date. There's only a printed page with his information. What do I need to order from ARCO? I"m thinking I ordered the wrong thing.
  16. Docs submitted to NVC June 24, 2022. I got an REF today saying that my husband's UK police certificate was unacceptable. I ordered it from ACRO which is the site NVC said it needed to come from. I'm thinking the problem is there's not an "issue date" or something that says it's current. I simply forwarded what they sent me. Upon looking at it a few weeks later, I noticed there wasn't a date so I uploaded a copy of my request and their dated email reply that was received with the certificate. Upon checking my docs on CEAC, the second upload with the dated email is not there. NVC doesn't mention what is wrong with the police certificate. Their message simply says for my to send an "acceptable" certificate but doesn't tell me what constitutes that. I'm at a loss. Do I order another one from ACRO? If so, won't it also be not dated? If anyone could help, I'd really be grateful.
  17. That's where I'm perplexed. They didn't RFE you for the translation, but you signed it. I'm concerned that they'll nitpick it all and ding it because of lack of a handwritten signature. If they'll ding one for not having a handwritten date, I'm thinking a signature is a for sure RFE. And the saga continues...:(
  18. I my seemingly never ending quest to send more uploads to NVC, I have a question for the group. My husband lived in the Canary Islands for 2.5 years so he needs a Spanish police report. I have received a certified copy of that and had it translated by a certified translator. Unfortunately she didn't hand write a signature on her certification. She simply put, Certification by Translator I, Nadja Mckenna-Hofmann certify that I am fluent in English and in Spanish, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled Central Register of Criminal Proceedings of Spain. June 28,2022 Nadja McKenna-Hofmann 122 Beechpoint Dr. Oxford, OH 45056 Will this get an RFE? Should I go back to her and ask for this plus a signature? Thanks for any suggestions or advice. I will be soooooo glad when this is over and done with!
