Received 3 text messages today. Predictably, they all start with #IOE. I know that’s electronic filing, but does it still mean it will be sent to a local field office? I would assume so, but maybe someone knows for sure.

Yes, absolutely. No way they'll make you fly over to some other office. Your case gets forwarded to your local field office as determined by your ZIP code (you can search for it at the bottom of the page here: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-a-uscis-office/field-offices). It's not clear to me when that happens, perhaps after your biometrics & background check is complete (if you need one).

Thank you for replying. Yeah this is the part I’m curious about. Maybe they send it to National Benefits Center since apparently that’s what it says in paper NOA1 and from there send it to the field office. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m just glad we’re getting out NOA1s fast compared to previous months.

Welp, I knew something was up. So USCIS tore my stepdaughter's (K-2) portion out of the packet I sent them with a rejection notice, stating that I needed to provide evidence that "an immigration visa petition has been filed/approved on your behalf"... But I did submit that. I sent them the original I-129F that my step-daughter was listed on and got her K-2 through. Do they mean I was supposed to send in two copies, one for each applicant?

I really hope I don't need to pay for another medical exam for her, because they totally tore that sealed envelope open. Since there's numbers printed on the bottom of those pages, I'm guessing they scanned them in already.

I received an email letting me know a letter was on its way for the biometrics appointment. They uploaded a digital version of the letter that's in the mail so I was able to read it online before it arrives here.

where you checking online on your USCIS account for this online version of the letter ?
it’s good to see there’s some movement on July AOS filers.

I know, right! We didn't expedite at any stage so this is pretty cool news. The email arrived at 5 a.m. on a Saturday morning (yesterday) so I guess they did at least a quick review of what we sent in and booked the appointment in on the Friday afternoon. I didn't receive a text - just the automated email. I have to say it's so nice to be at the online part of the process after all those paper forms 😄

Log into your USCIS account, look for Your Cases and click Documents. Your appointment letter will be there
