Want some experience in this?

when we went thru our 6 year ordeal ,  i signed the authorization for Senator to inquire (and that's all it is)

my lawyer said Congress had no pull as Immigration is not under Congressional influence although they are suppose to write the laws

Immigration is self funded by our fees not in US budget

I wrote to Congressmen (Senator and Representative),  President,  Embassy ,  Secretary of State,   and a list of others /i still have copies of all those letters plus the one i received from White House

What really counted here was # of visits,  time together,   patience and a lot of evidence for my RFE and the NOIR

If your wife interviewed in December, 2020, you are lying to us.  Contact your State's Senior US Senator's office yourself.  When you do, tell them the truth.

Some people are bad with the calculations may be he meant almost more than half a year ;) give him benefit of the doubt.

your wife interviewed December 15th ,  2020

just 5 months ago

it is normal for immigrants from pakistan to go thru months (even a year ) for AP of addtional security checking / even a woman from Fes in  Morocco was in AP for 11 months with no evidence of travel ,  etc

a congressman can only find out what you already know ( the last communication received by you) saying she received a 221g and refused at this point (while they do the extra security

a US lawyer has no influence in Pakistan

if you want ,  you can go to senator office ,  fill out a form giving him/her permission to check on your case but it will only be the result as i said above

Patience is needed

Don't be discouraged / things happen in Allah's time,,  not yours

Ummmmmmmmmm....Your wife interviewed 5 months ago NOT a year ago.

A lawyer can do nothing and a congressperson/senator can only inquire on your behalf. There is nothing anyone can do to get your wife out of AP, the only thing you can do is wait.

My case stuck in AP at embassy and had been more than year with no updates. I like to get help from senator or congressman. But its better to do Congressional inquiry myslef or get lawyer to do?

I'm pretty sure you already know that extended administrative processing is common for Pakistani cases. There are cases which have been in that status for much longer than 6 months.  AP cannot be waived or expedited.  I know that having to wait even longer at this stage is not easy.  Hopefully, good news will arrive soon.  Good luck.

This one’s hard to deal with.  I remember him.

I'd recommend waiting a couple of years before doing anything. Patients is key. We definitely don't want to do anything that might change the status quo.
