yeah, only for I-765 extension:

"Biometrics: USCIS will use previously submitted biometrics to process extensions of employment authorization documents for applicants who had an appointment scheduled on March 18, 2020, or later or for those who have filed Form I-765 (Application for Employment Authorization) extensions. USCIS will employ this new policy until its Application Support Centers reopen to the public. Currently, this policy does not apply to initial I-765 applications, or to other applications that require biometrics appointments (such as Form I-539 (Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status))."

so what does it mean for those who have yet to submit ROC ( i do not have to until next year but I am wondering for the future)? You submit ROC, and you are put on hold until they open up biometrics again?

(as mentioned in the above referenced article) With the extensions to the EAD ... are they going to send a new card with a new expiration date automatically?

You still have to send in the free renewal form. They will then send a notice that says: "U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has received your form and is currently processing your application, petition, or request. This notice informs you that USCIS is able to reuse your previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics. USCIS will run the same security checks and use your biometric data as in the past, however, it is not necessary for you to appear at a USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) for a biometrics appointment."

Thanks.  How early do you have to send these in to ensure she keeps  a valid work permit?

Will visa interviews continue for spouses now that the order is signed? Who determines this?

The Administration (USCIS) will determine when the offices will reopen.  I expect it to be staggered by state.

I am in the US but my wife is in Pakistan. Her NVC docs were approved early March and the interview was being scheduled by the embassy in Islamabad. I'm assuming all that froze when the US directed embassies to cease visa interviews mid-march.

Now that the order is passed, I'm wondering how that will impact CR1 interviews internationally.

Tweet, if anyone wanted confirmation. Not super surprising, given the current global numbers. I was sort of hoping that they'd still open, considering that we're going to slowly reopen things here on the 3rd. Doesn't really matter for me, since the Schengen travel ban is still in place.

Spouses are safe in this EO. I believe more interviews will be conducted as others are ban. NVC is based in USA,  & are working.
