I filed the I-130 in May and it went to Nebraska. I filed the I-129f in Oct. 14th and it was mailed to Texas but a few days later was sent to Nebraska , I'm assuming because that is where the I-130 is

A correction. The underlying I130 does not have to be approved. In fact, an approved I130 actually kills the K3 case. As a K3 is used to come to the US while waiting on a decision for the I130, a K3 w

Sept 10 2019: Received NOA1 assigned to Nebraska Service Center :crying: IOE reciept
Sept 27, 2019: I-129F Received - LIN receipt

Transferred to Vermont SC in February sometime. - had to contact them because they did not send notice.
NOA2 6/18/20 :joy:

6/18/20: Paid NVC fees

7/17/20: Submitted AOS & DS form to NVC

7/23/20: DQ'd!! :dance:

Now waiting for embassy to open for IL!!

Technical answer: They use a suite of internal routing criteria designed to optimally distribute the load based on priorities of each SC.

Real answer: It's pretty much dumb luck. Their load-based balancing is not reliable. Edit: Except CSC - CSC handles family preference cases, not immediate relative ones.

There is a rumor that they avoid using an SC if you live right nearby in order to try to avoid potential conflicts of interest (somebody you know / somebody who knows you getting the case), but this is unconfirmed.

Yeah, I currently live in South Korea, but originally from Florida and mine went to Nebraska center.

It looks like throughout the entire year (until September 2019) only three K3 visas have been issued worldwide - all of them in Ciudad Juarez
