Thank you! In my country documents expire after 3 months, but I think the embassy will accept them because it is not mentioned in the website

You’re welcome !
it’s like in my country , so if you can before your interview ask some récents ones because if they are supposed to expire after 3 months maybe the embassy is gonna ask it even if it’s not mentioned .
i don’t know which country you are from but you can find some help on VJ on the country help especially for the embassy stage 😊

please , don’t forget to create your timeline 😃

Hi everyone!

So November, here we go. Here's to hoping that we all get a smooth and hopefully quick process!

We submitted all documents for NVC processing on CEAC on October 21. The status still reads 'submitted', not yet approved. How long does it generally take for the documents to be reviewed and an instruction letter with an assigned interview date to be sent out? Does anyone think I could expect to get an interview in Stockholm in December or January, granted that all documents will be approved? My priority date is December 24.

I can't wait for this process to be over...

Thank you and good luck to all my fellow VJ members!

i submitted same day as you and still no news. I think the ceac website says they are processing September 21st? so we might be waiting a while longer

Hello co NVC filers~ Just want to ask how long it took for some of you for NVC to clear your fees. I paid the IV fee last week, it will be a week tomorrow. And It's been invoiced to my bank account 6 days ago. I'm getting paranoid again because when I got my case number last tuesday the AOS fee wasn't listed and when I called NVC about it, they said it was a technical issue and then it appeared after 3 days.

Ours was taken out of my bank as well, but that was just today, we paid on 10/31 and 11/1 but it wasn’t pulled out until today. Website still shows in process though for us too. My bet is check again tomorrow and hopefully it will show paid! If not I would call NVC again

Took over a week for us. I think 8 days. Definitely not the 2 days it says it takes.

Hello Fellow VJ members, resubmitted 1 document on 26 OCT and got another RFE on 5th Nov- BTW I have been getting RFEs on tax return doc since August sending back this same message over and over " We are unable to accept this document as uploaded without all sides of every page. Please replace this document in its entirety and/or with all stamps visible"

This is really so frustrating as i was expecting DQ this time round- anyone going through the same problem, any advise of how best we can resubmit it this time is most welcome.

Had a similar problem with my birth certificate and this is what I did.

The first submission was a scanned copy, but they claimed the document wasn't complete of which everything was clear and visible. Their problem was that they couldn't see the four corners of the document.

So what I did for the second submission was that I just had to take a picture of it with my phone on a dark background making sure all four corners of the document were visible.

And that was all they needed for us to be qualified.

Hope you figure it out this time.

Hi everyone,

So my wife and I just got our case number over the phone and we are very excited but of course now looking for the next steps. We went to ceac and attempted to update the emails and it's not working. We want to pay the fees but we called our lawyer who told us they would email instructions. What I would like to know is do we have to wait a little before we can do any editing on ceac or can we just start with paying the fees?

Hello ,

you can pay the fees today , but then to start uploading your files , your payment needs to be processed  first . For us , we payed in a Friday , and we were able to start uploading on the next Monday.
