I lived in NC for three years many years ago, and I don't remember not working because of snowfall, but I guess it is really bad there now. Anyway,  I am glad that I made it this far in the process and I guess it doesn't hurt to wait much longer. 😏

Your honey will be here soon and this will be all a blur.  Hang tight! My step daughter asked me the other day if I can hurry the paperwork up lol.  Poor baby just doesn't understand the process.

Tried calling myself. Wasn't able to find the notification when I googled "NVC closed".

It is right here. This is where I monitor the case creation timeline while we wait https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/after-petition-approved/begin-nat-visa-center.html

Hi, I have been a silent member of VJ for past few years. I was wondering if there is a way  to know if NVC has received my approved petition? My petition was approved on 11/01/2019, yet to receive any correspondence from NVC. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi ,

when did the service center sent your approved petition to NVC ? You can see that on my USCIS or USCIS.gov

from the moment they sent it they usually receive it within a week .

if it was sent , best way is to call NVC to have the Info because they will not contact you to tell your they received your petition .

you will hear from them at the time they will create your case number / invoice number .

i hope it helped

Have a good day

@Mr & Mrs T Last status change I see on myUSCIS account is " On November 1, 2019, we approved your Form I-130, Petition...". It has been like this ever since my petition was approved.

Thanks for the response! There is no further case status update on myUSCIS. I received the NOA2 (approval letter) on November, 6, letter states as folllows " we have sent the petition to the U.S. Department of State National Visa Center (NVC)..."
