My husband is starting to have a hard time being cooped up at home and not contributing to the financial aspects of our life/marriage. Of course going in to this I told him it would likely be at least November before he got his EAD, but I'm worried about how he will feel if it takes even longer than that (especially with the holidays looming). We are also doing fine financially but he can't help the way he is feeling, and I completely understand it. I just wish there was something I could do to help ease the tension he is feeling. At least we both know that at some point, we will be past all of this.

Not really asking for advice or anything, but maybe just send some good vibes/positive thoughts/prayers (if that's your thing) our way. He's such a wonderful man and I just want him to be as happy as possible ❤️

Side note: As of today we've been married 5 months ❤️

Sending all of my good vibes to a fellow Aussie! I hope this process speeds up for him soon ❤️

Really struggling with how disappointed I feel since our interview fiasco. Called USCIS today to ask if they can see that my I-130 has been ordered by the officer at the field office in OKC. They said they can't see it as its an internal process, and of course also couldn't tell me any estimate on how long it might take. My case status hasn't updated since we went on Tuesday and I'm finding the whole thing incredibly frustrating. If one more of their representatives tells me 'you're still within normal processing times of 9 to 22.5 months' I think I'll scream.

It's really frustrating but hang in there Sarah.it's a good thing someone is picking your calls, just keep calling 2-3 times a week while you keep checking your status because unlike most people here, your status could be updated anytime. Sending good vibes ☺️☺️☺️

Thank you for this very helpful as my interview is at OKC in 25 days

No problem, honestly I thought before we went, that at this point in the process, it would take something really major to get a no in the interview. He did say he likes to see more pictures of events, holidays, parties etc instead of selfies but even that wasn't a real problem, just a suggestion. It was a really positive experience, you'll do great!

Yeah, that's my plan as well. I was just looking at some part-time retail jobs today, out of both boredom and desperation! LOL I hope all our cases are speedily processed, so that we can relax a bit and just worry about the finding a job part. How has your husband coped with having to stay at home? I've had to start inventing chores for myself to keep myself from occupied. 😒

He's definitely become slightly obsessed with finding chores to do around our apartment 😂 He also sends me "kitty updates" (aka spams me with photos of our 2 cats) while I'm at work, which I thoroughly enjoy. Overall I'd say he's handling it very well, minus feeling guilty for not paying bills/etc.

My case is at “fingerprint reviewed completed” since July 18. I’m still waiting impatiently 😅. Please keep me posted if your interview was scheduled. I’m hoping I can get a spot this year.

Got an update today -- my interview notice came in the mail! Exactly a week later, haha, you were right @CharleneB! I should've been a little more patient. @Eric&Mirella, my interview was scheduled for November 27. Very excited and nervous now, and I'm gathering more evidence to bring to the interview now!
