Hi all, I didn't see a thread for this yet.

 

I filed last night.

 

AOS Checklist

 

Cover Letter listing Table of Contents

(Check Payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security - $1,225.00)

 

Form I-485 (completed and signed by non-US Citizen/beneficiary)

• Form G-1145 
• Copy of beneficiary's Passport with biographical page 
• Copy of beneficiary's K1 Visa from Passport and entry stamp 
• Copy of NOA2 Approval letter (from K1 process) 
• I-94 
• Copy of beneficiary's Birth Certificate 
• Translation of birth certificate if required 
• Marriage certificate 
• Passport Photos (2) name written on the back 
• Copy of DS-3025 

 

Form I-864 (completed and signed by USC)

• Copy of Birth Certificate 
• 2018, 2017 and 2016 Tax Returns (with W-2) 
• Employment Verification letter (updated one - not the one used during K1 process) 
• Recent paystubs

 

Form I-765 (completed and signed by non-US Citizen/beneficiary)

• Copy of beneficiary's Passport with biographical page 
• Copy of beneficiary's K1 Visa from Passport and entry stamp 
• I-94 
• Passport Photos (2) name written on the back 
• Copy of NOA2 (from K1 process) 

 

Form I-131 (completed and signed by non-US Citizen/beneficiary)

• Copy of beneficiary's Passport with biographical page

Joining this thread because I'm working on getting everything together now and my goal is to send it off by June 18th (2 weeks from today). 

 

@Ethan & Shannon Did you send copies of the certified marriage certificate, or include originals?

Welcome and good luck I sent an original with the I-485 to be extra safe (I ended up ordering 6 of them so I can just hand them out to immigration lol!) and then plain not-certified copies with the rest of the forms. I'm hoping my not-certified copies will be fine.

 

I don't know about Alabama, but it only costed $4 per extra marriage certificate ordered in Illinois.

Note to all June AOS filers, as another June filer found earlier:

 

A new i-131 edition has been uploaded to the USCIS website, however, if you have already filled in the old version and are going to submit soon you still can with the old version. Here is a quote from the website:

04/24/19. Starting 07/12/19, we will only accept the 04/24/19 edition. Until then, you can use the 12/23/16 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions.

Turns out that extra copies of the certified marriage certificate here in Alabama are just $3 so I'm ordering a few extras today. Thanks for the tip!

 Will b filling my AOS pakage for K1 and K2 dependent both at same time..tomorrow morning from USPS.

I am wondering if I already have SSN now which i hav applied in may after marraige ...then i need not to check the question regarding SSN in I485 ..means i dnt need to apply for SSN now again rite

Yes I did, I went into the social security office on my third day in the US.

My husband *tried* to apply for his SSN on the 4th business day after arriving in the U.S. but we were told it was "too soon" and to come back in a week. I think they were experiencing some issues with their system and just didn't want to tell us, based on some whispering and comments I heard between co-workers. 

 

We're going back this Friday so hopefully it will go smoothly this time... 🙄

It could be! Sometimes I feel like it's just dumb luck lol My husband went on exactly the 10th day here and  they still couldn't locate him in the system. They accepted his paperwork but it still took 4 weeks for him to receive the actual card.
