Hello, guys. The director of USCIS, Lee Francis Cissna is reportedly being fired by Trump for not being extreme enough.The new director is reportedly being appointed by Trump, her name is Julie Kirchner who is a known anti immigration activist who worked for Federation for American immigration Reform. Processing time is already slow, it is unclear whether the shake up is going to effect the already slow processing time. I thought you guys should be aware and alert of what the latest of USCIS. Good luck.

This and pretty much every country is a land of immigrants if you go back far enough.  I really doubt anyone here is against legally immigrating to the US, but when phrases like “land of immigrants” are used, the implications are fairly clear again based on the assumption that we agree on legal immigration.  The issue here and the denigration of Ms. Kirchner by the likes of SPLC seem to imply that we should accept all immigration, legal or illegal.  I think many of us believe the immigration system in the US needs improvement, and moving it in line with some of those similar countries like the EU, Australia, Canada, etc., is a good thing.  Of course that will take Congress to act which is highly unlikely, but having someone that is tougher with enforcing existing laws is not a bad thing.  Anything else is open borders.

There is only legal immigration (filling out forms, waiting, paying fees, etc)  everything else is criminality as sure as murder, tax evasion, assault, drug dealing, etc....

You know coming into this country illegally is only a misdemeanor right in line with trespassing? If you are insinuating that the people coming here are murderers, avoiding taxes, assault people and deal drugs... You're kinda off.  I'm not saying illegal immigration is right. I am just saying you're exaggerating.

The crime is real. Deportation is the punishment. Illegals need to be aggressively captured and the employers and abettors prosecuted.  Read the penal code.
