Anyone know how long it takes NVC to send letter for the steps needed before embassy interview?

They usually send it the day they ship your case. Shipments take place every 2 weeks or so.

Yeah i was reading that the shipments are every other Tuesday. So 3/05 will most likely be the date for alot of us😏🤗🤗

I sure as hell hope so! It will be a month and a half since our NOA2. Definitely time for it to be shipped

called them first thing in the morning and they had everything for me, NVC number and invoice number already assigned, so I am guessing shipment to embassy on the 5th.

 

i signed up for the email and didnt get anything for an update, so Greenbaum was right in that sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't

Have you tried calling them? You should have an NVC number by now 😕

Yayyy! Congrats! and I think the email is sent when it ships to the Embassy, I think.

First, do you have a case number. If not you need to call them. Second, have you use the DHL hack on the first page of this thread? Third, have you checked your status at CEAC?

 

You leave not much information as to what your steps have been.

Can I ask you guys; when you got your NOA2 did it say you would hear within 6 weeks from NVC? Ours said 2-4 weeks, we're just over 4 weeks and still nothing 😕

Do you mean on the NOA2?  I don't remember if it said on it 2-4 weeks (I can check later) but I know every time I call, NVC tells me "it could be up to 6 weeks"

I think you may have misread it. It says it will take 2-4 weeks to assign a case number AFTER it has been received by the USCIS and when you call NVC they will tell you it can take up to 6 weeks for them to receive it. You may be able to call and get it by now, though.

I've been writing a lot in this feed since 5 weeks ago. Plus, all my information is in my timeline. I got NOA2 on January 18th, NVC received it on February 12th. Got the case number on 14th. Didn't make it to 19th shipment so hoping for the 5th

Update here, CEAC status shows ready.  Check my timeline.  Hoping for a date asap.  I'm lucky and can leave work any time to head to Vietnam.
