depends on your consulate whether or not you can do it without an interview scheduled. But you will need the case # from NVC to do it, so until you have that, all you can do is wait, regardless

NOA2 is November 1

NVC received our case November 13

Case number was assigned November 27

our case is going to US Embassy Manila. I just want to ask, normally, how long does it take for a case in Manila to be ready? Thanks 🙏

Well here is the good news. You can start the process in Manila before your case is ready. Schedule your interview 5 weeks out to give it time to get there and to become ready. No one can say, because it depends on the workload at the embassy.

Here is everything you need. Read over the links and follow the step by step instructions over at Hank's website. If you need help there are many of us over in the sub forum for the PI. From this point on there are not many here that can answer you questions about the PI as they are busy trying to get their arms around their embassy requirements.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

Here is a search I did for you on VJ for "Guyana" terminology. https://www.visajourney.com/search/?&q=Guyana&search_and_or=or&start_after=year

I think you can get some idea what is next through those links. You might be able to contact another member through PM to ask for help. Many are willing to help as they remember their journey.

Interview booked for January 11th so I can still visit my fiancé for two weeks over Christmas as planned.

Hi Amanda,

Hope you are doing well!

May I ask who is the one that books the interview?  Petitioner or Beneficiary?

And does this have to be done after the beneficiary submit her DS160 Form?

After the embassy receive the DS160 Form, does the embassy assign an interview date?

Or is it the beneficiary's responsibility to book the interview date?

Sorry for asking so many questions.  But I am a bit confused.

Thank you, Amanda.

Chris

Woohoo! We got our case number today 11/28/18! Since we have our case number, will we be able to schedule the medical and interview? Or should I wait to receive the physical letter from the NVC to do all of that?
