We emailed the embassy and they replied with the packet 3 attached.

FYI- nigeria doesn't give a packet on its own since it's the same thing you see online.

If you want to contact the embassy directly, then you can.

They do send you a P3 letter. Here is what it looks like.

I would get your police certificate(s) now, since it is good for a year. You remember you will need it for every country you lived in for more than 6 months besides US.

Wet signatures are no longer required for I-134 for your Nigeria interview. You are able to send in scanned documents. I signed, scanned and emailed mine to my fiancé to print and it was accepted.

Scheduling the interview can take 1 to 3 months. Once you pay the $265 visa fee at GTB Bank, you can go online to schedule an appointment at www.ustraveldocs.com You can get the forms online at http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visa_forms.html No need to go to the consulate to pick up forms. Download forms if unexpired or get current versions of same forms. Email LagosIV@state.gov for your interview date.

Thank you very much Greenbaum.... thats all the info i need, all we have to do now is wait :)

INDIAN POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFIC ATE: If you are an Indian citizen age 16 or older and residing in India, you need to obtain a police clearance certificate from a Regional Passport Office. This certificate is valid for one year from the date of issuance. If you already submitted a police clearance certificate to NVC, please check if it has expired. If so, bring a new certificate to the visa interview.

If you are a foreigner residing in India and are registered with the Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO), obtain a police clearance certificate from them. If you are a foreigner residing in India but are not registered with the FRRO, obtain a police clearance certificate from your District Police Station.

FOREIGN POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE: If you have resided in any other country for one year or more after the age of 16, you may also be required to submit a police certificate for this country. Check the visa reciprocity table on the website http://travel.state.gov, content visas/english fees/reciprocity-by-country html for each country you have lived in to determine if a police clearance certificate is required and how to obtain it.

U.S. police certificates are not required for applicants who have lived in the United States.

@Islandlovetash

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Just realized NOA2 is valid for 4months. should i call NVC to get case number first? The case number allows you to follow your case to the Embassy. To use the case number prior to being notified by your embassy to book a interview can and may put your interview in jeopardy of being canceled by the embassy and you being asked to "go to the back of the line". Check the embassy instructions or review the information from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EEVpQlEvMr5vGoV_pqKBVM1dENnWnNEr/view

i will be away for vacation from 12/21-1/1. when i am away for vacation from 12/21-1/1. Anyone have idea about Embassy in Singapore? Can anyone help to review the steps as below? Use the link above. They contain some good step by step instructions from others who have gone before you in Singapore.

NVC > SG Embassy > receive package > ds160 > appointment for vaccination > get police cert > schedule intv (can i complete all this in 3 months)?

9 FAM 41.81 N6.2 Validity of a K-1 Petition

(CT:VISA-2165; 08-21-2014)

An approved K-1 visa petition is valid for a period of four months from the date of USCIS action and may be revalidated by the consular officer any number of times for additional periods of four months from the date of revalidation, provided the officer concludes that the petitioner and the beneficiary remain legally free to marry and continue to intend to marry each other within 90 days after the beneficiary's admission into the United States.

http://travel.state....nce-k-1.html#11

In other words it can be extended by the Embassy with a valid reason. Contact your embassy if and when you need an extension.
