I'd return to the Embassy to have it rewrapped. Call ahead of time to the Embassy and ask what their procedure is. Usually they will wrap while you wait if you have a plane to catch otherwise they may want you to return using post. Each embassy is different in how they handle such items. Return here and let us know what took place to resolve this issue.

we both called them and they said it’s normal and it should be ok. the operator told me what’s important is the second packet inside that envelope. i still think it’s weird why the consulate in juarez would do that. i forgot to ask them why they do that lol

Not long ago someone had their packet and was leaving their country on a flight to the USA but with a stop to visit some friends in another country on the way. Once she got to this country's immigration checkpoint at the airport they tore open her envelope and made a complete mess of the contents. She begged them not to open the envelope but despite her pleas they did it anyways. Once she was finished at immigration they piled everything up and put them in her arms whereby she had to reassemble her package but without the knowledge of what when in what order she just made the documents neat and put them back into her carry on luggage. Once she arrived in the US at her POE immigration asked for the envelope and she had to pull out the disorganized stack of paper and she then began to tell her story. They completely understood and took her documents and stamped her passport and sent her on her way.

 

So, you may have the same wonderful outcome. Just be positive. Your are not going to be turned away at your POE :thumbs:

My fiance just left his interview and we were approved! He was told passport/visa will be delivered within the next 2 weeks.

We experienced some delays during the medical screening at St. Luke's that caused us to slide our Embassy appointment date back a week, but I'm happy to share that our Valentine's Day present today from the US was a successful Embassy Interview.  Visa: Approved.  Now awaiting return of passport "in one to two weeks."

Hey folks! Just wanted to share with you a picture of our wedding (we still don't have the professional photos :p)

 

Now we have the AOS ahead! And still waiting for the SSA to give me a number, it went for manual verification and it has been more than a month now...

4 months in AP post interview for us. I'll be visiting my fiance in the UK for a week and hoping that maybe something will happen by the time I go back home. I didn't think I'd be the one making the travel arrangements again. I wish it was he who was coming home to me :(
