What happen if things does not work out btw you and your fiancee who filled in K1 fiancee visa for you to enter the U.S.... are u allowed to marry someone else in the united state before the completion of the 3months

If theres a complication while arriving at the united state and both party couldnt make it or one party decided to Quite, his he allowed to marry someone else b4 the completion of the 1st 3months.

He can marry anyone but can only adjust status with the Original petitioner. He must then leave the US and reapply for a spousal visa with the second person.

A k1 visa only allows him to enter the US to get married and then apply for adjustment of status (getting the green card). The K1 does not give status just the right to apply for it.

A person that arrives on a K1 has to adjust status to get a green card after they marry their petitioner.

 

If the person doesn't marry the person that they came on the K1 for, then they could not get a green card. So basically, they would be illegal. And the new spouse would not be able to help them unless they leave the US and the new husband applies for a spousal visa.

 

Edited to add: It is kind of a safe guard to prevent foreigners to use a US citizen to enter the US then leave them and find someone else.

But the question is basically, can I come to the US and marry someone other than the person who sponsored me.  That is a sign of a scam relationship and the stuff that the CO is paid to stop.  Visa fraud.

Nah.

 

People want the CO to read the minds of the foreigner. They can only do so much. Not only that, you have to remember that the US citizen is on the side of the scammer and provides TONS of evidence to prove it... that is up until they realize they are being scammed. Which is usually some time after the interview and approval.

 

The one that really should be the person to put a stop to the scams is the person in the relationship.

Erm no, the application is for you to marry the person you have submitted the petition with. If the relationship has fallen apart then you would stay in your own country and not travel.........given you have three months from when you enter the country (after being granted a fiance visa) how on earth would you develop a loving genuine relationship with another person in that time. This K1 application is for genuine marriage to the person you love.

I'm guessing it isn't about developing a loving relationship.  I believe if they do not marry the petitioner they have to leave the country before the 90 days or they would be in violation of the visa even if they married someone else.
