  1. Of course no contact info because the USG doesn’t actually work for citizens. Yes we have a copy of the application and the check that was returned. It’s completely acceptable and followed directions to a T. After all her visa/green card/citizenship bull I’m so tired of dealing with such a hostile government
  2. Wife applied 3 months ago. They replied to her via mail last week and said pay method was not payable, which is complete bs because form of payment and all relevant info were correct. She travels in 14 days. She’s also already paid for expedite but they haven’t cashed that check either. what can we do now? We’re looking at losing out on plane tickets and passport fee and having nothing to show for it. Is there anything we can do or is this country a total 3rd world ####### hole now?
  3. She just finished. I waited in the truck and wasn’t called. They removed her conditions and approved her for citizenship and said she’ll be receiving a letter in the mail for the oath ceremony. They didn’t ask for any documents she brought either.
  4. I’m seeing conflicting info on this site about it an original is needed or not. On what basis do you say an original is for sure required?
  5. Thanks for the feedback. We have everything but the original birth certificate..the letter from USCIS doesn’t say it has to be the original. Wouldn’t that be communicated clearly if a copy doesn’t suffice?
  6. We have a completely separate trip planned for monday-tuesday once her stuff is over. Absolutely nothing indicated I would be needed, I only checked here yesterday out of curiosity. We cannot cancel the trip and cannot find somewhere else to leave our dog. In any event, yes he's fine being left alone all day but I'm not leaving him at a kennel with people I don't know. Leaving him in the truck for a bit seems like the best idea here. I don't necessarily like it but he's not destructive. I'm more worried about someone breaking windows to steal him or something
  7. My wife is the one insisting she doesn't need me there and to just stay in the truck unless called in later lol. Otherwise yeah I'd be going in with her from the beginning. I wish I knew if we can only go in simultaneously or if it would be possible to go in later at the IO's request Did you initially wait outside or go in with her from the beginning?
  8. How do I know if her I-751 was ever transferred to NBC (or is it NVC?)? In her case history nothing explicitly states that it was I'll be right outside and he's fine to be left in the truck for awhile.
  9. How often is the USC interviewed for the ROC interview? Is it very common or only in suspicious cases?
  10. Interview is Monday morning, it's around a 4 hour drive for us. There's no way we can make arrangements in time. Nothing in the letter indicates my presence is desired or even allowed.
  11. that would be really annoying to have the N-400 interview but it not be a combo interview, and then have to wait who knows how long for the ROC one. Her LOE expires in December too...
  12. We've received no feedback that it's also a ROC application interview. We can scramble and get some stuff together but we just submitted an RFE a few months ago so they should have updated stuff. Also I don't trust dog kennels at all, for multiple reasons.
  13. Just posting for others to see, wife has her N-400 interview on Monday. wish us luck and I hope everyone else still waiting has quick resolutions.
  14. Wife has a pending ROC and N-400. Her citizenship interview is Monday morning. She's received nothing that says I, the USC, should be there, but according to this forum it's a good idea. The issue is we will have our dog with us and can't find someone to watch him by then. I'm kinda panicking because even in the letter she received for her upcoming interview it says that the citizen spouse likely will not be allowed in, so if they turn around and grill her about why I'm in the truck and not with her it seems like it would be unfair. Any ideas what to do, or any contingencies they may use like calling me or having me walk in from the adjacent carpark (I would leave my dog in the car for a bit but don't want to for super long). Interview will be in Fairfax btw. Thanks
  15. They received her fingerprints in Jan 2011. Then in Jan 2022 it was transferred to Kansas City, and got an RFE in April. And nothing since
  16. My wife’s passport expired in April, she just now notified me. Is she supposed to renew it, or does USCIS not care since she’s still a on a green card and waiting for I-751 to be processed?
  17. Unfortunately no, we forgot to do that. I remember most of what we sent though
  18. ROC. And yeah I mean we updated what we sent since the AOS stage. We submitted October 2020 and only recently got an RFE. Everything was up to date when we filed for ROC
  19. We sent all of that. And yes plane tickets showing we’ve taken vacations together. We sent lease, banking info, insurance info, pictures with my family, etc. No idea why we got an RFE for failing to demonstrate a legit marriage
  20. I know the feeling. We got an RFE for lack of evidence, which is crazy as we sent the same kinda stuff everyone else does and we have no red flags. I bet if there were 20 years of age difference and we had to use a translator app to communicate we’d have been approved by now lol
  21. It’s for not properly demonstrating bonafides, or whatever the exact language is. it’s weird, we sent everything in that’s listed here - financial docs, adequate pics, plane tickets, etc. still got RFE’d for lack of evidence
