I think you need to change your circle of friends. Previously a friend told you the K-1 no longer existed and only spousal visas were possible. Now a friend is telling you that divorcees cannot petition their fiancées.
 
Unless you heard it from USCIS or read it on the official USCIS website, it’s not true. 

Why do you care about everyone else? Let them worry about that. The only person that matters is you. Do you understand the Constitution of the United States? Are you ready to bear arms on behalf of the United States? Those are the questions only you can answer for yourself.

I had my ceremony today as well.I was in Boston. 136 people from 50 countries. So glad this journey is complete.

Agree with the advice provided, take care of this error asap. 100% guaranteed it will backfire at you down the road (naturalization, green card renewal, relative petition etc.) If a mistake was made it has to be corrected to comply with the law and regulations regardless of the effect of such action. 

Because he was improperly granted LPR status. That's different than if somebody was properly granted status and then became inadmissible or otherwise lost status later.

The “myaccount.uscis.gov” that you are referring to doesn’t work like you are thinking for i485. It only works for Online Filled Applications like i90, n400 etc. You can only track a paper filed application but no access to documents or notices sent to you. 

I can imagine anybody in their right mind would give you a K1 for that situation. You will be denied in a second.

This is extremely absurd. Just stick with the spouse Visa and you wont have to deal with 12 months of AOS process after K1 Visa. Not to mention if I was a consular officer and see in my file that this couple was married, then divorced and immediately applied for K1 so they can get married again - I'd throw it into the "scam" folder. 

Here's the deal, it is not in any party's interest that the USCIS are in deficit.
This is what I think USCIS should do:
Increase the fees for the N400 so they will not be losing money, and give the option of premium processing for a very short time (2-4 months guaranteed) for $2000.
This way USCIS will not lose money for processing application of the ones who can't pay the premium fee, and will be making good profit from the ones who does have the money.

Considering the B visa was denied 3 months ago, and the ESTA denied 3 months ago...the probability of her crossing into the US from Canada being granted will be slim.  It looks like a desperate attempt to enter the US by any means necessary.  Your (girl)friend may have to just meet you in Canada.  If she can get into Canada.

I have not heard that a rejection is normally due to saying something suspicious. I am sure it happens occasionally but normally?

You may want to consider the K1 or the CR1, the CR1 is considered superior.
