@John501 if I where you...i would definitely apply for naturalization. since it looks you are already 5 years with GC. Waiting for ROC is just a waste of time now. Maybe if you get lucky, they will do a combo interview and you are done with USCIS

As long as you file for AOS before the 90 days...your wife is in status.  If you answer K-1 visa is fine

1) normally you can get SS# under k-1 before your i-94 is 2 weeks to expire. As far as needing a SS# for getting married is new to me. you wont need it. Usually k-1 apply for ss# w/o problems and get it and after marriage they go and  change it.

Some people say you can get medical insurance w/o SS#, but that was not possible with my employer. We had to wait for SS#, period. Bank account was another problem, no SS#, no joint bank account either.

OP, I suggest to call twice a week. Once on Monday and once on Friday to not go crazy.  Eventually you will get your Case#. Call in the afternoon after all the mail has been processed

yes coverage is retroactive and back payments from the day you got married. i had to pay for this also

@John & Rose may be more informed on this. He is going through spousal visa now and had applied for k-1. 

Well, this might be a problem, because you stated something false and know they may think this beneficiary is lying from there on. If you where put under AP and never come out of that loop, would be better to cancel the fiance process and get married and apply for spousal visa. Just my 2 cents. 

What do you mean by "valid"?  A SS card obtained immediately after arrival via a K-1 is extremely useful for things such as opening a bank account, landlord background checks, establishing credit, filing taxes, etc......I'd call that a valid card for most anything other than work authorization which would, of course, require an EAD or GC.

Take copies only, except where asked for originals. Kiev also keeps all paperwork.

Omg just give the info to op! Both ICE and embassies get plenty of poison letters - up to them if they want to investigate or not.

My husband and I have a checking account that doesn’t have checks (bc we have no use for them and it saves us money on bank fees) so my immigration fees are always via a money order from the bank. 
 
Anyway, my point in this comment is all the money orders I have gotten have a phone number on them where you can call (it’s an automated system) to check the status of the check, so you will know when it was presented to a financial institution and honored.
 
If you kept a copy of the money order or receipt, look for a phone number.  (The one I have had the number listed as “for stop payments blah blah blah”, but there’s an option on there to check the status.

i rely on informed delivery more now. i can breath and relax that a letter is coming lol
