I am asking this on behalf of a friend of my wife. Is there anyone doing K-1, specifically in Ukraine? Her PD is as stated in the title. Is anybody near that date that has not gotten their NOA-2 still? Or from August or June?

Thanks

thanks, my wife has her friend waiting for her NOA-2 and was wondering about sending the out of processing time request already.  they have a lawyer involved, but like anything USCIS, this is a mistery to them also

as far as i was told, she didnt get an RFE either. the questions is only how much longer could it take.

From what I saw most Ukraine petitions get approved rather quickly, even in case of RFE like @VikaShew2017approval was not far behind. I am sorry their case is stuck.

In 9 days they will be "out of regular processing" by USCIS standard and entitled to inquiry to that effect. Unfortunately what it means they will probably get "You case is being adjudicated, come back in 90 days" response 😕 Hopefully their lawyer knows actually worth their salt and knows some way to get real answers.

their case should be pretty straight forward is my thinking, except for the timing that USCIS takes. I did talk to the petitioner. No prior marriages or any misdemeanor or felonies and they are both retired (sorry just petitioner), as I understand it. No K-2 involved either. They have been in a LTR for years.

Hmm USCIS says June 30 is date for inquiry on 129F, so I guess it is a bit longer than 9 days. Unfortunately getting any sort of answer out of USCIS seems to be worse than blood from stone.

It took 17 days for me. That was found by calling NVC starting at 2 weeks mark. If you just wait for eventual e-mail from filling at AskNVC it will be longer. @HP+ICI believe hasn't heard from them until case got send to embassy with was 3 weeks from their approval. ... Why yes I was I keeping slightly obsessive eye on most recent Ukraine filers, why do you ask? :)

i did the trick i have seen some others do where they replaced the last number of the receipt, and the one before ours is approved, but it looks like the numbers immediately after ours are untouched, i think it is that if they are in a box waiting to be worked, then the box that ours is in has not been picked up yet. it sucks waiting, but the good news is that when i called to update my petition, it was noted and updated in the system

RoC sent 10/30/21

NOA 11/16/21

Check Cashed 11/18/21

Biometrics Waived 01/19/2022

So we were 12/31 approval and our case was created by NVC on 01/15. Pretty fast I think. And yes, we did not call and found out when they shipped our case on 01/22, well, a couple of days later. Was interview ready on 01/24, so terms are pretty much in line with @Alabamak1

As to USCIS touching batches, it worked best when I quit checking 500 nearest cases and left it to progress naturally. Our case is still 'received' at the old site, so it really is no more than a quessing game

If you go to Unlucky 200 days club thread, you will see that adjudication (in a broad sense) of I-129Fs is indeed affected by the shutdown, namely in part that is done outside of USCIS. That is, people may get stuck and do get stuck in background checks. There recently appeared a Ukrainian couple too. If the guy is retired from the military, this may as well add to being stuck.
