Roel got a reaction from Lemonslice in My Visa Journey thread
We made it work because it was important. Simple.

Roel got a reaction from AKN2 in Domestic Violence(Pending) issues with customs
Look into anger management therapy and quit drinking. Your wife doesn't deserve to go through BS like this.
Thanks for your stupid decision, she will now forever have domestic violence on her record. Means potential issues with not only immigration, but every background check (even for jobs) will show this. So hope that your wife's future potential employers will be understanding.

Roel got a reaction from AKN2 in Inadmissible after green card recieved
At this point you can't do anything. If doctors back at her home country approved her medical, they decided that she is fine to immigrate.
Don't try to send her away because she's sick. She is not a broken package you want to return.
If you're miserable in the marriage simply divorce. You can't so anything about her status.

Roel got a reaction from AKN2 in ASYLUM - I REALLY NEED HELP
I mean if the best lawyer cant tell you the odds, I'm pretty sure no one at VJ will be able to either. 😛

Roel got a reaction from AnJay in N400 Interview went bad
You need to stop giving wrong advices. Yes the wife will need a waiver once she go back to the Mexico because she will have 10 year ban. But this cannot be done from within the US.
If wife gets deported then OP should consider moving to the Mexico for few years. Because this will not be a fast process. Not to mention who knows if his citizenship will be denied or not.

Roel got a reaction from Luciana Sarah M in My K1 Visa have been refused - not sure what to do now
Well why was it denied? If the reason won't be assessed, then even if you marry and file for spouse visa - it might get denied also.

Roel got a reaction from Crazy Cat in Expedite Green card interview
Oh no, please dont get this "entitled" attitude of military spouse. Especially since you just married the soldier.. trust me. It's not pretty.
Honestly I never heard of top security job for green card holder. Someone lied to you. Never heard of AOS expedited either. Visa - yes, there is expedite for deployment. Just be grateful you have your ead already.

Roel got a reaction from RockyA in I-751 rejected (USCIS Horror story)
That's.. hardly horror story, I'm sorry.
I've expected something worse than this when I saw the title.
Just refile and that's it. If you're late few days nothing bad will happen.

Roel got a reaction from BadAmmoWitch in CAN SOMEONE REAPPLY FOR B1/B2 VISA FROM WITHIN United States ?
If you have a VALID reason, you can apply for extension. But you cannot get a new visa to the US from within US. Common sense here.
Are you asking for another "friend"? Like here:
or here
if those are not "friends" but you in fact, then I highly doubt you'll get extension approved.

Roel got a reaction from Greenbaum in Necessary administrative processing!????
If you'd bother to search through ththe forum you would see that everyone had this "experience ".
You'd also know that AP can take anywhere from couple days to few months to years. Usually its just few days.

Roel got a reaction from kaylov in Divorce and Remarry: Getting to the US Faster on a K-1 Visa?
I'm sorry what?
This is extremely absurd. Just stick with the spouse Visa and you wont have to deal with 12 months of AOS process after K1 Visa. Not to mention if I was a consular officer and see in my file that this couple was married, then divorced and immediately applied for K1 so they can get married again - I'd throw it into the "scam" folder.

Roel got a reaction from Thrillhouse in AOS denied: Overstayed Visa: Penalty leaving within and past 30 days
Eh, you sound delightful.
Also that's a good advice for ALL K1 FILLERS - TAKE TIME TO MEET YOUR FUTURE SPOUSES.
K1 visa is not a visa to CHECK if you're "compatible".
-
Roel got a reaction from retheem in Wife left during AOS to avoid illegal presence, now trapped in Canada
The only option is to file spouse visa again and wait 2 years. Sorry. There is no ap/ead options available now.
Should've done your research before believing a lawyer blindly.

Roel got a reaction from Q2018 in Self-employment without EAD
From USCIS website " Yes. Individuals must be work-authorized to perform any employment in the United States, even if it is not employment in an employer-employee relationship requiring completion of the Form I-9. Undocumented aliens, or others lacking work authorization, are NOT authorized to be self-employed or to work as independent contractors. Any person who obtains the labor of an independent contractor, knowing that the contractor is not work authorized, is subject to civil penalties under section 274A of the INA. "

Roel got a reaction from Q2018 in Self-employment without EAD
If he wants to work as self-employed person in the US, he needs EAD. He would be working in the US after all, receiving payments from within US.

Roel got a reaction from Diane and Chris in Aos approved ,question on the conditional green card
Lawyers are very often mistaken, as proven here on VJ. And this issue comes up on VJ now and then, USCIS makes mistakes. But it's a green card holder responsibility to have their records straight.
Oh, boo-hoo.
-
Roel got a reaction from Diane and Chris in Aos approved ,question on the conditional green card
They dont make you go through anything. Its part of the process, dont do it if its such a big burden. Not like USCIS is forcing you to be LPR. 😛

Roel got a reaction from thilimaa in Wanting to work in the US (split)
Oh boy, you'd be surprised how conservative USA can be.
I think you're the kind of person who has this idea of USA that you have seen on the movies and tv shows and you think life there is perfect.

Roel got a reaction from HKS in School Paper - Should illegal immigrants (documented and undocumented) be given pathway to US Citizenship?
No. Undocumented or illegal immigrants absolutely should NOT be able to get a green card or citizenship on their own (whatever that means) . It would be offensive to everyone who ever went through all legal steps.
