the lockdown wont work because you need buy in from everyone, and even a lot of us who were good with it in the spring are getting really stir crazy now and would not be able to do it, especially with the holidays coming up.

Not to mention many people are frustrated because we have seen how some states disproportionately went for the big box stores all the while shutting down the small mom and pop stores.

Personally I don't care about masks, I wear them when required, but I think the jury is still out as to their effectiveness particularly given the vast number of different face covering out there.  I am pro keep-my-distance from others as well as keeping my levels of Vitamin D up.  The one big question I have with the mask is do people wearing them consider how they are orientated with another when two people with masks are within 2 meters of each other?  I am not sure I have ever heard it discussed or studied, but given my observation, when I wear a mask, my exhale comes out the sides of the mask, so I try to avoid standing to the side of a person if I let my guard down and get to close to someone else.

    People are certainly going to die. We have been through this once already, and we are going to go through it again. Not just from Covid, but as we have discussed in the past, also from secondary reasons because of the impact Covid has on access to other medical treatment. Just a guess, but I imagine hospitals are going to stop elective procedures this time because they don't have the staff and resources to continue doing them even if they have the protocols to do them. Surgical staff will get pulled to medical floors out of necessity. 

 

  The only upside right now is better treatment and management is available than early in the spring, but the downside is going to be access to that treatment. If hospitals are nearing capacity now, what happens in 2 weeks when cases double? What happens in 4 weeks if they double again? We'll find out I guess, because we are out of options.

My wife keeps thinking that I am going to trade her in as well. I just tell her that she has got to be kidding because I love the tried and true model I have compared to a newer one.

I read the supply chain is struggling to generate the supply of syringes needed to distribute the vaccine, which obviously works against the value of the vaccine.
