Illegal Work on the I-129f

Hello guys,

My fiance and I are currently in the process of filling out the I-129F form for the K-1 visa. I, the american citizen, work legally here in the USA, but my fiance works illegally in her home country... we were wondering if we should put her work history on the form or just leave it blank.

Also another question: my fiance has both her home country passport and her international passport...do we include both or one or the other in the required documents.

Thank you for your help in advanced

Yes, include the illegal work. It is what it is. It can’t be undone. Never answer the questions the way you think USCIS wants them to be answered. Answer them truthfully as they apply to your situation.

What’s an international passport? Is she a dual citizen somewhere? If so, she will need to declare both citizenships on her actual visa application when the time comes for that.

Some countries such as most of the former ussr countries have an internal passport for internal travel and identification and an international passport for traveling outside the country

YMMV

Will we get an rfe or questioned for not listing those few jobs he had illegally?

How would they know?

With that said, the petitioner signs the form acknowledging that the information provided is complete and  accurate under the penalty of perjury.

In addition,  the same work history is supplied on the i485 and my wife was questioned about her prior work history at her green card interview

YMMV

Well we honestly didn't know we needed to put those. I guess we will figure it out. We will add them during AOS and if they ask we'll just tell them the truth

In some countries especially soviet states ....citizens carry two passport...one is the domestic passport that list things like your marital status and children or even your confirmed address ....*equivalent to a US state ID ...while the other one is the international passport for trips abroad....I would advise OP to list only the international as they dont have anything to do with your domestic passport.

Use the international passport only.  That is where the US embassy will place the visa.

If by illegal you mean having a regular job (such as a waitress or a nanny) and getting paid under the table /nothing contract, then it's don't see any problems with you declaring it. Now if her illegal job is drug dealing or gun smuggling then you'll have some serious issues.

i think this is the clarification most of us are wondering about
