Has anyone else been waiting months just for a biometrics appointment? We are going on 5 months and can’t even get an appointment. I don’t know what else to do whom else to call. This is completely frustrating and I am tired of talking to USCIS because they don’t care. Someone else tell me I’m not alone and what I can do please. I am getting so frustrated.

Unfortunately you're in the same position as a lot of us. Looking at your timeline it looks as if you got your NOA right before all ASCs shut down due to COVID. Many are reopening this and next week, so we are all hoping to start hearing about appointment letters being received soon.

USCIS cares and that’s why they are taking time to safely open those application support centers that you shall go for biometrics.

Thank you for showing me I’m not the only one. It surely doesn’t feel like they care when you called so many times and not one person can give you a correct answer. This is beyond frustrating I hate Covid I have this process.

Application support centers have been closed. No one has received biometrics since the beginning of March. Have you googled your local app support center?! You can't do anything until they open and hope your state government is actually taking precautions and caring about their residents. Otherwise these centers will stay closed.

I have and I finally heard from USCIS that it’ll open here next Monday. So I guess we will see what happens. Do they have to meet the time line the five on cases ? Because to says 4.5-6.5 months and still says that. What if they don’t meet that ?

I'm sorry I don't understand; what are you trying to say? What timeline?

Positive news is that your center opens next week.

They don’t meet the timeline, they change the timeline based on the processing times actually taken.

You are not alone - literally everyone that filed close to or after March 18th, when everything closed, is waiting for their biometrics appointment.

On top of that, USCIS employees are facing a furlough for 70% of their staff, along with catching up to just going back to regular work (theoretically). It's probably less that they don't care, but more that it's not in their hand.

You can look up all re-opening dates here, under the "Application Support Centers" drop down. Since your NOA1 date is the date before the lock down, you might get lucky and be relatively in front of the line, after all de-scheduled appointments have been re-scheduled https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/uscis-office-closings

Literally everyone here is going through this - consider yourself lucky that you are in the US, and get to be with your loved one. Many of us are stuck separated with embassy closures (and now backlogs, and travel/visa suspensions) just as long as the ASC centers have been closed :)

They don't have to meet anything - timelines are only estimates, and no promise. It takes as long as it takes. Immigration requires patience, now even more so than ever. Try to occupy your mind with something else - I know it's hard, but you don't want to drive yourself crazy over this :)

Thank you for that is honestly made me relax a little. I am trying hard not to focus on it. It’s just super ahhh but your right at least I have my loved one here. My heart goes out for others that do not. Thank you and everyone else for putting me back in perspective!!

We all know how frustrating this process is, I'm sure I have a lot more gray hairs on my head since starting this long arduous journey. If I can give you any advise at all, it would be to enjoy your new life with your loved one since you are together and just let these circumstances just play out. My wife and I have 2 gardens and Many flowers. We both love to go out and watch them develop and grow just like our love for one another. Just know it will happen when it happens. Please don't put yourself under so much stress, it's not good for anyone. God is Great and has and will always be with you! God Bless!

@Crystal&Saido   It looks like the Las Vegas ASC Office is reopening July 20.

You can go to the link below and click on Application Support Center to see when different offices are opening.

This might offer some reassurance but we just had our EAD approved today with no biometrics appointment. Never had biometrics taken. Looks like they might be making exceptions for the EAD.
