The article is behind a paywall so I don't know the details.

BUT the WSJ just goes with what Trump said that those who seek green cards will be affected. The article makes a generalization that all categories of GC are affected. The details, or exemptions, are a mystery.

I wouldn't get too worried about this Headline from the WSJ.   They are known for putting out shocking headlines that later are proved to be half truths.

It seems that many other reputable media outlets are saying it will exclude family.

doesnt sound good to me, maybe im being pessimistic though but I do not expect much from him. My guess is now it will be a suspension on all those seeking to get to perm residency who are not already in the country. Essentially putting existing petitions on hold. But obviously i dont know any more than anyone else. I worry because he will most likely seek to extend it past the 60 days, as per usual

Right now it's purely speculation. I suggest we all wait for the executive order to release tonight or tomorrow.

Great advice, not sure it will be followed.

That's the first time you noticed he was "seriously messing with people's lives?"

OK...

This is only me personally.  I realize there are people all over the spectrum when it comes to his policy.

I following his policy pretty close and this is the first time I've seen the potential to separate US Citizen's from wives, husbands, and children.

Kind of hard to find an even close comparison to this.

"But the order, issued as a pause lasting from 30 to 90 days, includes major exemptions. So-called essential workers, including health care workers, will still be able to receive green cards, as will nuclear family members. And, notably, the administration will also continue processing visas for temporary workers, the biggest source of immigration at the moment."

So, who are "nuclear family" members?

I'm sure my husband is one, if that excludes him from the ban :D

My K1 visa would expire just a week after the 60 day suspension is over, so I still have a slight chance of making it. Chances of the suspension getting extended though? pretty high if you ask me. So I’m not too hopeful.
