I originally submitted on November 27. Didn’t submit true translation of Nikkah Nama so they asked for it again after rejecting my marriage certificate. Submitted the translation on January 29 and waiting since then....

Yes it does take 8-9 weeks but you should hear from them this week and if not max next week if your last submission was Feb 1. Don’t lose hope!

Did you recieve any message from NVC? And if yes then what was that?

Got an email early this morning in response to our expedite request which we submitted mid FEBRUARY

 

The email said that because all Embassies are closed it's very limited processing at this time. However, they are willing to expedite our case once they resume normal processing (which is completely understandable).

With the way London (and everywhere else) is going I'll probably get DQ within the usual time frame before the Embassies reopen, but either way, I'm going to take this good news and use it as something to smile about and distract me from all the craziness going on.

When I moved countries I was still at the USCIS stage and they only accept to change my husband( petitioner) address back to the US and told us we needed to wait for contact of the NVC to change mine (I am Peruvian.We lived in Germany for two years and filed the petition while there). Sooo we waited... months went by and nothing so I sent an email to asknvc on Dec 30th. Then in January I started getting desperate because it was going to be 4 months that we had an approved petition and no NVC welcome letter,. Over the phone the lady told me to send a public inquiry attaching evidence (didn't mention anything about a phone number).... so time went by and in February I received the response to my December email asking to send a public inquiry, and last week I received the response to my public inquiry of January asking to send a new public inquiry including the phone number besides the new address. So now Ill have to wait another 2+months, since over the phone they have already refused two times to help me change the consulate. Another thing you can try is contact the consulate in Malaysa so they request the change, I know the German Embasy did that for a returning German citizen. I have tried my Consulate but my timing was terrible since it was the week of the lockdown where all consulates are crazy busy... so might have to wait again those 2+months, but I feel like everything will be delayed anyways so maybe it wont make a difference (I am in week 4 of wait for my CEAC docs review).

Thanks for your help!!! I've submitted a form through their website and was able to change the embassy location and get the new case number 2 days later

The US Department of State issued a suspension of all immigrant and nonimmigrant interviews at all US embassies indefinitely until further notice. I would hope that when they do start to schedule interviews, they should prioritize immigrant visas over nonimmigrant visas - but this is just a pipe dream.

Wow submitted 21 Feb? But the site says they are working on 23 Jan... are they going out of order? Was your case expedited or anything?

Not sure but I completed my ds-260 on January 23rd and then submitted my civil documents o  that same day. I then submitted financial documents on the 21st of February. I am from Jamaica also, so that could also be a reason too.
