K-1 is a non-immigrant visa but is treated like a immigrant visa as it has it's own special category and is adjudicated differently. I'd be careful in assuming something. Do you have a link to a governmental agency that is advocating what you have just reported? I'd like to see it if you don't mind sharing it with me. Thanks.

sure, its their twitter page https://twitter.com/USEmbZagreb

With the on slot of embassy's reducing their staff and day to day functions, couple that with no VJ member is reporting that their case status went to "in transit" yesterday, I can only guess that there will be no shipments until further information is available. This is my opinion and has not been confirmed from any governmental agency, so I put it out there for your edification. I'm heartbroken that I have to report this grim news. Stay strong as we move further into the COVID-19 stages.

@Greenbaum - I'm so grateful for the packet you created and shared!

Is there a P3 packet for Cuba in 2020 yet? Thank you again!

All visa applications (except diplomatic) that were pending in Havana were cancelled: https://cu.usembassy.gov/frequently-asked-questions/ It could change in the future, but right now if a Cuban is at the NVC stage and the USC's petition listed Havana then NVC automatically assigns the case to Georgetown, Guyana.

Embassy Instructions for Georgetown, Guyana

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/Havana-GEO.pdf#page5

P3 letter with instructions

All medical exams are done in Guyana. There are 2 doctors who can do it—once your case gets to the embassy they’ll email you and you’ll schedule an appointment with them for the interview. Once you have the interview date you’ll call or email one of the physicians on the list and tell them your interview date. They’ll give you a date within 5 or so days before the interview so you have enough time to do the exam and get your results to take with you to the embassy.

I'll be honest, I have been trying to avoid reading about the delays that COVID-19 is causing right now because it causes me a lot of anxiety. But now that we are soon on to the part that is directly affected by that (setting up medical and interview) I am wondering if someone could provide a little information? Are we still seeing cases being forwarded to NVC and then to the Embassies? Are things on hold? Appreciate any information. I know that no one here has a crystal ball to see into the future!

So I got very curious and just this past Friday I did phone the NVC ( I knew it was too early but I did have a couple questions for them anyway)

Someone did answer the phone and they did confirm that they had received my case. I was told to try this Friday to see if a case number will been assigned.

I didn't ask about the embassy's but I will make a point of asking for some general information. To my knowledge, and again this is a fluid situation and things change, but at the least my consulate in Montreal stated that it was not receiving mail during this time. Now if that is accurate I'm not sure which is why I hope to confirm this Friday.

I will let everyone know what I can find out but at this point all we can do is go with the flow~ :)

Thanks for the info! I planned on calling NVC if I hadn't heard anything after 30 days (per the NOA2 instructions). So hopefully we will at least get that part done with! I'm curious to see when the embassies start working again.

I don't know if this is helpful to anyone, but I've noticed some people updating their timelines with rescheduled interviews in May/June/July/August from certain countries (Brazil, Spain, France). I wouldn't necessarily bank on this, but it is a little bit of hope. We all just have to hang tight, stay healthy, and wait for things to settle down a bit. We've made it this far!

Amidst everything currently going on worldwide, I expected and still expect a lot of delays and thus was surprised to see an email from the NVC today. The email stated that they have received our petition, as well as assigned a case number that it is now being forwarded to the consulate. Also checked CEAC and the status is "In Transit". Obviously since there are no interviews being scheduled/conducted until further notice, do we still fill out the DS-160 and collect documents etc. or just continue to "wait it out"?

@Greenbaum Do you have a P3 for Sydney, Australia? Thank you so much.

I am just curious in asking this, when you received  your NOA2, how close was it compared to the email VJ sent you with their estimated approval date?

I did notice today that NVC website moved there date today. Yesterday was 05 March and today is 11 March. Seems like they are working. Slow but it appears they are moving. Check the NVC website for timeframes. This time frame is for people with K 1 though. The other lengthy ones is not so recent. Hope this helps. I’m waiting for my date of 17 March to tick by. Good luck ya.
