Hello were you able to secure an upcoming interview? I heard JA is starting K1 interviews.

Hello Stacey Yes we currently have an interview scheduled this week that I pray stays in place. I had been checking the website for openings and found an appointment available and booked.

Sorry Stacey I believe it's someone with Friday Interview however best wishes to you..
Stacey Ann on 2020-09-30 said:
Awww that's nice. Congrats🎉🎉. Yeah I think Empressdivine is Friday. As for me I was one of the recent cancellations 😫😫😫 but hoping that will change soon. Can you ask your fiance how it was at the embassy? Was it busy? How may others were there interviewing? Wondering if they are only doing K1 interviews now.
blank avatar Erica 39 on 2020-09-30 said:
I will ask as i plan to get details once he's settled because he drove 2 hours. I can say it must be pretty empty as he was in and out not even an hour.
blank avatar Empressdivine on 2020-09-30 said:
Congrats!!!!!

Erica 39 Congrats !! I am trying to figure out how did everyone make a new interview date for the K1. My fiancée interview was canceled in March due to Covid. How did you get a new date at the Kingston embassy?? Thanks
Stacey Ann on 2020-10-01 said:
Ok @erica39. Take your time. I understand completely
Stacey Ann on 2020-10-01 said:
@Kev&Kem. I don't know much about the K1 process, but I saw someone say they went https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/iv to choose an available date for their interview. Apparently K1s schedule their own interview. Check it out. If there is no date just keep checking till one becomes available. Good luck.

Hi Stacey Yes had to wait til he was free to tell me all the details. His appointment was at 2pm but he got in about 15 mins early. He said their was only one other couple their that seem to be K1 as well. He states the interview went well as the gentlemen was very nice. He asked him several questions which he easily answered. After all questioning was done the guy give him some paperwork to review about the 🇺🇸 and told him his visa will be issued so he should hear via email etc and wished him well. Also you are correct as K1s we must book our own interviews through the visa link you provided. We must 1st have our case number and complete the DS160 (visa application) to register before being able to view available appointments. Once your status appears Ready meaning case file has reached the Embassy you can pay the visa fee and book available appointments no Embassy letter required. I hope this information is helpful as so many others comments have been a blessing to me. Thanks

Thank you so much!!
blank avatar Kev&Kem on 2020-10-01 said:
Thanks Stacey Ann!! I’ve been trying to book all week after watching that live Facebook post on their website. When I log on it’s showing me the old date but nothing else about new dates. That page have been the same since March 2020. Were always logging in and nothing has changed on the log in. The top shows the old interview date and time and bottom says documents picked up at Kingston embassy and whenever I click on the tabs at the top and account settings nothing about a new date. Whenever we go to the site we click on continue and log in. We thought about clicking register but afraid of making a mistake. Did anyone click register or continue when they log back in ??
Stacey Ann on 2020-10-01 said:
Shouldn't it be the NIV site here? https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/niv. Not sure guys...@Erica 39 and @Empressdivine please guide Kev&Kem.
Stacey Ann on 2020-10-01 said:
Sorry the 1st link was correct (https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-jm/iv). I'm sure the ladies will help you from here. I've been seeing ppl commenting they had to check the sight insistently until a date appeared. Good luck, hope you can snag a date soon.
blank avatar Erica 39 on 2020-10-01 said:
@kev&kem if you are a K1 you will need to register on the site through link Stacey provided. Once you've registered just keep checking until an available date pops up then pay visa fee ans book. Because you have no timeline we can't tell what stage you're in however you will need case# to register and of course be at a " Ready" status to proceed with interview. Good luck

Hi Erica! Congrats on your approval. What documents/proof did your fiance need to take to the interview?
blank avatar Erica 39 on 2020-10-01 said:
@NewYork14 Personally I sent I134 Form, 3yrs of Tax Returns and Tax Transcripts along with W2s, last six months paystubs and job letter. He said they took what the needed from that batch of paperwork as I didn't want to leave anything to chance. He also had to provide the following Police Record Non Impediments document from RDG Original Birth Certificate DS160 printout Passport 2 Passport Photos
blank avatar NewYorkLover on 2020-10-01 said:
Hi thank you for the response. Does he remember what docs they asked him for? And what questions were asked?
blank avatar Erica 39 on 2020-10-01 said:
They took all the documents I mentioned and personally I would provide all taking no chances. I know they at least require I134, Tax transcripts with associated W2s as well as last 6 month's pay stubs as this is what many have stated. As for questions I know it was several How did we meet? How many times I visited after initial meeting? What do I do for work/ type of job His relationship if any with my family? Do I have children? If so how many and does he communicate with them Where I live in US? Do I live in house or apartment Since we video chat any descriptions of house ? How many rooms Do we have wedding plans?

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
