so he can report it and cancel my request since he has all my info

I doubt he wants to get involved with the Postal Inspector. That's very serious felony activity. Those guys do not fool around.

You need to file a police report. That will speak volumes for any further issues down the road. File it sooner rather than later so you have the third party (the police) as witnessess that it happened. If you don't, it's just his word against yours.

I just want to say that I'm sorry you have to go through this. I was in an abusive marriage many years ago, and I understand the way fear of what your spouse might do can be paralysing. I know it's hard, and scary, to get started, but once you become proactive, you begin to see how weak he really is. Do call the police and file a report - you have good evidence to support you. Do call USCIS and change your address. Do file a change of address request with the post office. Do go to the Social Security office and change your address there. All these agencies are on your side.  And, please do keep in touch here. We are here to help and support you.

Jesus. Extortion/blackmail is a felony, a very serious crime, so is domestic violence.  This is a country with the rule of law. You  should save that e-mail for your records. He sounds very stupid  besides being an awful person as he is leaving a paper trail of his extortion attempts.

I am sorry this is happening to you. People here are giving you superb advice, though.

Best luck.

1) They had an IR-1 visa (not CR-1). They never have to do ROC to get a 10 year green card.

2) An abuse waiver for ROC is not VAWA.
