Been a pretty sad day for my husband and I after finding out our service center😢😞

You are certainly focusing on the wrong thing. . .  Workloads get shifted, service centers add employees.

Be happy that you got it filed and it in the queue and you have something to add to your timeline!

Oh yes, we will definitely be back to our happy selves in a few days, we both have said we just need a day or two to feel sorry for ourselves lol.
I tried updating our timeline but it says I have multiple timelines🤷‍♀️ and asked me to contact an admin to fix. I contacted an admin this morning; soon as we’re able to update timeline we definitely will! 😁

We applied early yesterday morning and got our receipt with service center this morning. With the dreaded Nebraska service center address on lower left corner. See picture

Congratulations on filing and thank you for pointing out where we could find our service center! I had been waiting anxiously by the mailbox for weeks! We submitted our paperwork online on the 7th January and got Potomac.

Hi! We are abroad and we filed online. I recommend! Much easier and safer, you don't have to worry about shipping documents to the states and you get your receipt (NOA1) almost immediately

Thanks! We've gone through and done most of the petition online for that same reason! Glad to hear the good feedback :)

Hi All,

Any online filer who received an RFE? Our PD is November 12 and as of 01/09 a "Request for evidence" was sent.

I'm not sure but it seems to be coming fairly quick, assuming this is not a Request for Initial Evidence.

I'm getting a error 500 on the website so I don't know what they're asking for, but I'm curious to know if the online tool differs between "RFE " and "RFIE"?

Anyone with experience?

Hello house,

reposting this for those that joined later.

As of today I’m still getting error 500 when I try to access the RFE document. I also haven’t received the RFE in the mail. I called the hotline and they said a request for initial evidence was issued but they also can’t access the letter/can’t tell me what’s been requested.

I’m wondering a bit what they might ask for since all primary evidence was uploaded and the green check mark confirmed the same during review before submission.

But I’m wondering even more if others have similar issues?
I also checked the other portal (my case status on egov website) and there it doesn’t even say that an RFE has been issued so I also have no clue at what date to submit e-request to have it re-sent...

Call USCIS and ask to speak to a tier two officer. They will be able to clarify things for you, Good luck!

Hi,

I’d asked this question in an FB group and that’s entirely up to you. We didn’t and I’m actually glad we didn’t because we had uploaded our info in an order which we thought was good... Affidavit’s, photos, trips back & forth etc basically in an order that made sense to us and it’s literally changed order and it’s now in a file size order! So we have things we didn’t necessarily want at the top, at the top!
You could do a cover letter but because you name every file you upload we found there was no need to. Wedding photos and simply named ‘wedding photos’ so it’s easy enough for them to click and view whatever they want/need to see based on how you name your uploads.

Hope this helps

Thanks very much! I just want to confirm that you can pay online using a credit card or debit card. Also, does it have to be a US credit card or debit card or can I pay using my foreign credit/debit card?

Hi, I used my card (internationally recognised credit card) and it went through just fine. It was a MasterCard. Pretty sure they accept any but it will let you know.

I used my US MasterCard debit card which I’m able to use internationally and it went through immediately with no problems. When comes to visa problems I’m thinking they have made sure that the taking of our money is gonna not be problem at all😂
