File when you do get to live together.

We have been doing this over year. My husband doesn’t want to let them to get counseling. This makes us stressful and live separately for a while would be better for all of us.

13 and 14

I advise you ALL to seek counseling ASAP...children and parents.......separation is not the answer, imo.......

I know.... but my husband is actually an counselor... that’s why he doesn’t want to get counseling and we decide to live separately to see for our kids.

But thank you for your advice.

Don't forget to be truthful on all the forms and during the interview, that is the most important thing.

Might be safe for you to have a plan B, just in case your AOS is not approved.   Good luck with everything.

Yes, I will be honest and sincere to the application and at the interview. Our application was already denied because of other reason so this is the second chance and would be the last chance.

Why was the reason for denial?

I am not judging but it doesn't sound like you have a bonafide marriage. You both live in the same country but live apart because the children don't get along?! How old are the kids? Will they be old enough to move out in 5/6 years from now? You story sounds unbelievable. I feel like there is more to this story. Did you enter into the marriage for love  and to be with your spouse or for another reason (green card)?

Our marriage is with true love. We just didn’t expect this situation because kids were good when we spent time together before marriage. And now our situation is getting worse as time passes.

So you guys live separately.  How far is your place from your husband? I’m just curious because you only see each other once a month.

What was the RFE about? Separate addresses? As a layman, I find it hard to believe that you and your husband (who love each other very much) allow 2 teenagers to prevent you from living together. Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper to combine resources? Put yourself in the immigration officer's position...would you believe your story?

We have been thinking as wait and see if our boys get along for over 1year. We tried to spend time separately weekends not to feel stressed for kids. We looked for bigger house for kids to have and sleep in own room but it’s too expensive.

It’s like 45minutes flight.

So I get separating the kids, but why does it have to be that far? If you guys just want to  separate the kids then you could have move easily to an apartment like a mile or two away.  Your distance to your husband right now is very questionable to an IO.
