The waiting is getting tough.  How many October filers are still waiting on their I-131's and I-765's?

Oct 14 filers. Still waiting for everything: GC, EAD, AP.

VJ estimated we'd have Combo card months ago. Called USCIS on the phone, they said it's normal for it to take up to 6 months.

Asked my congressman to inquire, but I think he's bogged down by Coronavirus.

I'm curious what happens at the end of April if we don't have an update.  If we call, would they check into our specific case?

I was checking the Case Tracker app and looking at 500 cases at a time.  I went back 250,000 cases before ours (approx. September 2019 filing) and then looking 25-50,000 ahead each time and there are a lot of cases still pending approval:

Our case is in the highlighted block range.

the website says they're continuing with issuing SSNs for people but I'm sure the pace is not faster than normal (which is already really slow). https://www.ssa.gov/coronavirus/
Let me know if you're able to get through!

Hi,

I tried calling many times but couldn’t even reach the automated phone to wait.
And one of my friend told me this to check the case. My SSN doesn’t seem in the process so I decided to apply by myself. It will take time but better than nothing! I hope you get your SSN soon!

Thank you! Didn’t know about this website! I checked with my uscis number but also nothing... do you know anyone who successfully saw their ssn application on SAVE after receiving their ead?

and also, are you going to apply through mail? I saw somewhere that you have to send your original EAD card to the SSA office...

Hey guys,

Does anyone know if it is possible to apply for AOS while waiting for IV? I went to interview but they put my application under AP and we were wondering if we can apply for AOS instead of IV?

If so, do I need to fill out another i-130 or the one that was approved 15 months ago is still valid?

Any advice will be appreciated!

Thank you!

Unfortunately, they'll only raise your case if it's past the receipt date (current at Aug 26th). Otherwise they'll tell you to keep waiting.

I could reach local office on the phone and mine was issued and sent it out to me on the 24th!

That’s amazing! I’m so happy for you! I didn’t read correctly sorry, glad you were able to call. I thought my local office didn’t have a phone number but I just looked it up and saw a phone number! So I’ll call on Monday :D

Thank you! And glad you found their number. I think it appeared today, I didn’t find anything yesterday.
Stay safe! ;)

Anyone got SSN after EAD here?

I got EAD and AP combo card, but I do not have SSN, so waiting for it but I don't know if it was issued or not.

I tried call Social Security Office and waited for 3 hours to talk to human but couldn't yesterday.

There is 6 hours time difference from my states, its hard to call in the morning and Local office doesn't have phone number to talk.

Yes, it took more than a month to receive the SSN, after receiving the EAD.

My wife and steps9n received their combocards this previous week.  Today we received NOA1s for their travel documents again?  saying "date received, March 24th"?  Is that normal?

Less than 2 weeks ago we got their I131 and i765 approvals lol.

The new NOA1s have the same case numbers as the already approved i131s
