Thank you! And no, I would go by USCIS processing times and notices not VisaJourney. While the data here is good, it is wholly incomplete and estimates change regularly. (edit) My appointment letters & something else were "late" based on my timeline, but within the USCIS threshold to wait before putting in a request. So double-check notices & adjust/don't sweat it.

Very much agree.  USCIS won't do anything with a phone call now... they'll just say you are within processing times.

Hey everyone, I have been trying to file my taxes but I can't because I don't have an individual tax identification number for my wife yet and USCIS will only give us the information that is available on their website(nothing since doing fingerprints last November). Anyone know how i can get any semblance of the information required?

You can choose to apply for a ITIN for your wife but will have to paper file the application with your tax return and provide necessary documents requested by the W-7 (ITIN application).  You can file your tax return with the W-7 application in person at a IRS office from my understanding.

This works well with the K1 as to be considered a resident  for tax purposes for all of 2019, she will have to submit a letter stating she wishes to be considered a resident for tax purposes.

Heres the good news, if you know you will NOT have to pay in, you CAN wait and file late once your wife has a SSN.  Late filing penslties are based on what you owe the IRS, if you owe nothing then there is no penalty.. generally. currently penalty is 5% of owed taxes for each month late, up to 25% penalty.

Alright quick question we have yet to do the ROM for Philippines yet. Our interview is this Wednesday. Does it have to be done before? We were thinking of having another wedding in the Philippines by next year (civil) That’s why we have yet to complete that step. Or is it a bad idea to wait?

Not a whole lot of questions. The immigration officer went through the Inadmissibility questions from the I-485. Cross verified all the information submitted. Explained the conditional green card process and about when we would need to apply to get the conditions removed from the green card. The status changed same day to “card being produced”

Hi! Has anyone had this and what can it mean?

My AP and EAD were approved on February 20th.

I received my combo-card last Friday.

And suddenly tonight the status on my AP changed from "Case was approved" to "Fingerprints were taken".

How can it go backwards?

My wife's travel document (I-131) was updated this morning to "Fingerprints were taken".  Her other docs were updated back on 12/4/19 to show the same thing.  I can only hope this means that she is close to being approved for both her I-131 and I-765 (EAD).

A lot of us got that text late last night (I'm a November filer). Not sure what mens yet. My guess is that it's a system error or something new that USCIS is doing, because it's not part of the "normal" case progress that people have previously reported.
