Interview on January 8th.

Just 4 months after sending AOS package and in a field office where for average time it says 14-27 months...

Fingers crossed for everyone🤞

wow, very lucky! now you just upped my hopes for our wait time expectation :)

We had 3 weeks ago the ready for interviewing notification, so at this point I stopped micro-managing the events and expect movement mid to late January on AP/EAD, but not much on the green card.

I have two kids as K2s, so need the EAD for getting their social security number and eventually submitting my tax return.

They (USCIS) are looking for something  specific several  people have gotten RFEs for this and they really did not know  why according to them. I wonder what's triggering this?

I am wondering if part of it is that some officers (either new or old) are misreading the date it was sent or are confused as to how to handle the cases mailed BEFORE or AFTER that new process took effect (with the affidavit being a bit more harsh), so they may be asking for things that are not applicable, etc. and they don't realize it until we re-submit (the exact same information) and they glance at it again.  Just a thought.

Hi Everyone! I have been more of a ghost in this group, but am thankful for all of the tips and tricks. We filed AOS from k1 on 9/6/2019 and we approved on 12/6/2019. EAD and AP are still pending, but will be denied since the two year green card is on its way! So thankful to have been assigned to the Cleveland office. Good luck to everyone!

Did you have an interview?

You got your GC so fast you can use your combo card (EAD/AP), when it arrives, as a toothpick going forward.  Congrats.

Update!  Sorry, just read EAD/AP will be denied.  That process was sure a great use of taxpayer money.  Still, you're beaming with the GC on its way so enjoy.

Allow me to throw another log on the fire.  Our case status was just changed to 'Interview Was Scheduled'.

We will update our timeline after we get our appointment letter in the mail with the official day and time of the interview.  Hopefully next month. 😀
