completed n400 online. same day NOA and case updated to "case being actively reviewed by USCIS." initial estimate at submission was 16 months and changed to 10 months 5 minutes later with status change. biometrics reused same day. Received notice of appointment on 1/17. Combo interview i751 and n400 on 2/24. Straight forward, approved but with delay because copy of n400 was still in LIN. Status update on 2/27 i751 transferred to another jurisdiction. 2/28 case changed to “oath ceremony will be scheduled†3/27 ceremony date mailed |

Embassy Review : |
My Fiance's experience aligns well with what has been mentioned previously. She was in and out in 35 minutes with approval in hand. My (petitioner) mother was co-sponsor, as I am in between jobs. They had very few questions in regards to this and did not ask for any evidence what so ever. Great experience overall! |

Timeline Comments: 16Congrats on your medical and interview! May I ask, did you receive your letter for scheduling the interview in the mail or just schedule once your file was “Ready†at the embassy?
Hi there! We scheduled the interview after medical was approved. However, you can schedule once your case changes to ready. My understanding is that in regards to London embassy specifically, they no longer send interview letters.
Hope this helps :)
Okay, thanks so much! And to schedule the interview, you went to the website online? I’ve heard the confirmation number for the DS-160 is needed?
No problem! And yes, we scheduled online and you do need the DS160 number in order to do so. When you log on/create an account to schedule you can click on first available.. later on in the process it will give you dates/times to choose from. Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck!
Thanks so much! That helps a lot. Good luck with the last leg of your journey. I’m sure everything will go well :-)
Has your visa been delivered yet? What is written on the CEAC website for you?
Hi Ella and James,
She hasn’t gone for her visa interview yet. Sorry I can’t help with this one.
Thanks!
Our case is listed as "Ready". My fiance and I decided he'll proceed with getting his medical scheduled and then the interview. We don't want to sit around waiting for a letter of instructions that may never come!
HopefulOne1- congrats! It’s exciting to take that next step!!
Hi, when registering to schedule the interview, did you use the portal for "Immigrant Visa" or "NonImmigrant Visa"?Thanks!
Better yet, if you could share the website you used :-) Thanks!
HopefulOne1; I am so sorry I have just seen this! I hope you were able to get things sorted !
HopefulOne1; I am so sorry I have just seen this! I hope you were able to get things sorted !
We received our case number yesterday, on the CEAC website it say case number is invalid, you we need to wait a white for it show a status on here?
Make sure you’re selecting to check the case status of an ‘immigrant visa’ it’s the last option 😊
Yes, we got everything sorted thanks.
*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
