Thank you. It will still be valid for sure if I get interview before February. March will be our second year anniv and we are thinking of him just keep visiting me here even if I have the visa and We fly to POE a day after our second yr anniv so that will automatically change my visa type CR1-IR1. It’s because of the horror of this process we just dont want to deal with them in less than 2 yrs again! 😭

That's exactly what we are doing. Our case took so long to get out of Nebraska that we slowed things down a little at NVC so we wouldn't have to go through this process again in 2 years. Removal of conditions is taking 18 months at the moment. Our second anniversary is Dec. 12th, so we hope to be together right after that... just in time for Christmas!

when did you request your police clearance? Do you think mine will be fine? Or I will need to request a new one before flying? Thank you.

My husband is the Canadian. He got his police clearance in May. As long as your police certificate is still valid when you have the interview, you will be fine.

Do I need the tax return at the interview?  It was uploaded at the NVC website.  It is not required on the list!

The signed i864 is required and usually either tax transcripts or tax return with w2 are requested with it. Check your countries pre-interview checklist.

Thank you.  I checked this link for Cairo Egypt and it is not required, but will take it anyway in case.

The appropriate Form I-864 Affidavit of Support for each financial sponsor along with a photocopy of the sponsor’s IRS transcript or most recent U.S. federal income tax return, and any relevant W-2s (US embassy in Egypt)

i think all embassy says says the same thing. Mines says the same statement. My thinking is whatever was uploaded to the ceac website should be taken to the interview. 😊

Do you think we should hand it up front during the interview or keep it in the folder in case they ask about it?

It depends on the embassy and their regulations. I think my embassy they check for all the civil documents and the copies. And then during the questioning part they might ask for it or might not
