I've been studying this :    https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=2&sortby=2    page on VJ.  It seems clear to me that the approval rates for I-129F are quite low.  I have heard from others (on this site and elsewhere) that exactly the opposite is true.  Can someone help me resolve this issue?  Thanks.

Along with what others have mentioned (a lot of VJ timelines are created and never updated, so months 'top out' at around 70% of petitions approved), I think you're just reading things incorrectly. The graph at the top right of Igor's List shows the percentage of timelines marked as having NOA2 for each month; you can see there that the timelines for over 70% of May 2018 to Oct 2018 filers have been approved, and Nov 2018 is also over 50%.

The tables below the graph and list of most recent approvals in the view you've selected (which is the default) are showing only unapproved petition timelines. If you want to see all petition timelines, you'd want this: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=3&sortby=2.

I would just add that back when I ran some scripts for tracking status updates of I-129Fs (exported to CSVs daily and merged into a database), the approval rates in my subset of data were comparable to the data released by USCIS. This included ~20k I-129F cases over several months.

I still have the raw data & stats database on my Google Drive, but I have since removed the link in accordance with VJ TOS as publicly posting receipt numbers without permission is prohibited.

If I may be allowed to pound my chest here a little bit, my application was submitted/received 12/31/2018 and today I received my notice of approval, I-129F NOA2. It was approved on 4/8/2019! 3½ months for approval isn't too bad. Its the first step/hurdle in a long 'visa journey', (pun definitely intended!).

Prejudiced against politicians and the data they manipulate for their own purposes....................GUILTY!!!!!    And justifiably so.  You should try it yourself.  You'll be right much more than you are wrong.

USCIS agents are not political appointees.  They don't care.. they do their job and go home.

I'd love to see some of the rejected I-129s and I-130s.. all you have to do is follow the instructions.

Please take your politics elsewhere.

I would go with USCIS data also, if it is one thing they are is robots. they do the same thing day in and day out like a machine. They are like the terminator, they feel no pain, they have no feelings, they are a machine to process petitions, they don't care who is in office, they don't care about anything except their paycheck getting deposited every 2 weeks in their account, so their data is more than likely the most accurate. They have no reason to try to manipulate the numbers, it will do them no good, they get paid either way.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

The employees that release these data from USCIS are not politician, they are career employees dedicated for public services that are just like any others employee that work for a private organization and don't believe any of them would be asked or release data that are known to be inaccurate otherwise you would have already heard that breaking news from the NYTIME or WP.

Ok.  The OP isn't going to like that

The OP wants the facts.  As has been pointed out many times, the only significant number is the ratio of accepted to declined petitions.  I'm amazed how naive some of you are to believe that career clerks wouldn't do as they were told by the politicians who control their paychecks.  Anybody interested in a bridge in Brooklyn?

You were given the facts so you are on own. You can choose to believe it or not. Sell your 'bridge' and use the proceeds to create your immigration system and oversee it.

Where did I say/imply any differently?  They're all corrupt with their own agendas.  We, the US citizenry have had our backs turned far too long.

Vote.

Immigration is not a right. It's a privilege. And that's a fact.
