I sent the original packet with proof and re printed a new application to change the date and signature. Also when i I received my letter I-797 notice of action states to include it in front of packet . I also re wrote my cover letter and advised that I submitted application prior to the 90 day window

The only little bad news is that only one letter came for my wife and nothing for my two stepsons. So Monday morning I'll probably be calling in to see about theirs.

Hi, I filed on January 22nd, they received it on 25th, and I today received my 18 months extension, seems pretty fast so far but I know it will be a really slow process from now on.

WOW!!!  That seems extremely fast........I hope my wife gets her extension as quickly when we submit her I-751 in about 6 weeks......

Is the 18 months from the date of filing or the date of the gc expiration? 

Thanks!! It's 18 mos. from the date the green card expires.

That's amazingly fast compared to the experience a few months ago.  Honestly, that's the timing it should be...similar to back in the CR-1 days.

Thank you! As our application is dated 1/31, I'll just submit it again with an updated cover letter with explanation and the I-797. I'm hoping we'll get it back soon.

Hi everyone,

 

We filed ROC for my husband on 1/26/19. It was accepted on 2/1/19 with a text that said I-797 notice to follow. We are planning on traveling in April but according to infopass, the two offices in New York that are available for us do not take appointments at this time. We don’t want to travel unless he has a I-551 stamp in his passport. Has anyone been able to get the stamp prior to the GC expiring?

There are two addresses, it depends on whether you send through USPS or FedEx/UPS. You can find this on the uscis website:

Hello there,

 

I sent my file at the beginning of the year and yesterday I received a biometrics appointment without any previous notice of action.

 

Is this possible? How do I proceed my temporary extension without that first letter?

Anyone having the same thing going on? I'm so confused!
