My Fiancee went for her K1 interview this week in Islamabad, Pakistan.   The interview got very personal, the interviewer asked her questions about me, information that I never told her about.  She didnt know the answers.

We  had all the paperwork, a legitimate relationship but all that wasn't enough.

Visa Denied!!

I am heart broken.

What personal questions about you did the CO ask her? That seems pretty odd to me. IMHO If you do have a legit relationship she should know everything about you.

1.  Where you originally from Pakistan?

2.  Did you get your naturalization through marrying a USC?

3.  Were the personal questions pertaining to your prior marriage?

If the questions the CO asked her were about your previous marriage/divorce----and she didn't know much information on it, or didn't know about it at all----that's what likely led to the denial.

Your best option is to travel to her, get married in Pakistan, and then you return to the US and file the CR-1 spouse visa.

Not all Consulates give you that option.

Did you attend the interview?

Were you not aware that questions can get quite personal?  Pretty important to REALLY get to know each other so you are prepared for anything at the interview

sounds like the embassy did not believe your relationship is in fact legitimate

get married, get to know each other, spend more time together

Sorry posted on the wrong thread.

What do you intend to do now, marry?

That is the CO's job.  If the CO has more information about you than your fiancee, there how can it be a bona fide relationship.  That is exactly what the CO is trying to determine.

Best bet is to go there and get married and then do the spousal visa.

Is there a thread of potential questions that may be asked?

Each embassy is different; but all usually are just general information questions. For instance ours was simply my full name, where I lived, what I did for work, what we did on my trip while I was there, ect...

In some countries though the questions can get rather in depth and personal depending on ones back story. So for instance, if the OP was divorced but never mentioned that or anything much about it, to the CO that could be a little odd as questions naturally would arise about it in general coversation between the two. In some senses it would be like your fiance not knowing your birthday, kind of a bad sign you know.

So like others said, long as everything is open and known between the two of you, there shouldn't be any issues with the questions asked.
