Hello July fillers! Just wanted to uptade you all that they’re currently working on our “case number”. I called today and i got mine, my Noa1 is July 18th and Noa2 Dec 27th, is currently at NVC

Hang in there, Call the NVC and ask them about your case status. Make sure you have your receipt number next to you, they asked my name, date of birth and they were ready to update my information, the case was received Jan 10th!

What is RFE?

Technically speaking, an RFE is a written request for more information and documentation that USCIS mails out if they believe that they don’t yet have enough evidence to approve or deny a given application.

There are many varying degrees of RFE's. Some as simple as not "ticking" off a question. Others forgot the fiancé(e) letter and then others who met on a website and now need to prove that it wasn't a marriage arrangement website.

Can you please complete your profile. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Question: On my NOA2 there's a compeltely new number (followed by "A") on the document's header right next to "Beneficiary". Is that my Alien number?

If you are beneficiary, then yes, it is your "Alien" number also known as INS Number, USCIS number etc. That number will follow them for the rest of their life and will be prominently shown on their eventual Certificate Of Naturalization once they get their US Citizenship.

A-Number is the letter “A” followed by 8 or 9 numbers (such as A012345678). Normally the A number begins with "A" and not what you state where it is last. How many digits are there? Do the match either A followed by 8 or 9 numbers?

Sorry, that was actually a mistake, I meant to say that the letter "A" is followed by the numbers. So that explains everything.

Yes, I did a double take as well, but since I knew exactly what you were talking about from my own NOA2 I figured it was a typo :)

So frustrating now, just wish they could tell you something when you ring. So happy for those getting their noa2 but I agree it’s hard to see people who submitted later than you get theirs and your still waiting.

they made a typo error when they received my application and spelt my name wrong and it took them a month to update that on the website case status and send out new paper work so guessing that probably delayed it a little but no one of course will confirm if that’s the case when you ask. Patiently waiting now since 27th July and it’s starting to wear thin 🤣🤣
