Any help?

thank you!!!

No. same timeline same process.

if you have like criminal background maybe attorney would be helpful.

what visa are you applying though ? maybe that would be more helpful for VJs guru here to tell you more.

Same. I'm sure lawyers would do anything to earn an extra buck. But we went lawyerless, and my NOA1 was 28th July, NOA2 February 16th, No RFEs and here I am writing from the U.S..

There is no person or service that will make the process go quicker. Your timeline will be the same as everyone else.

As everyone else has said, no lawyer nor visa service can make the process any faster.  If they are claiming they can, then steer clear.

Good Luck!

No. Speed is the same in terms of when your case will be reviewed at each stage. If there are no red flags or other complications, and you can read and understand English, do it yourself. Save the money.

Definitely not faster. Often they make it slower by making mistakes. As long as you don't have a complicated past (criminal record, etc.) then I strongly suggest studying up and doing it yourself. It's not that bad as long as you closely follow all filing instructions provided on/with the forms. VJ is also a great place for any questions along the way.

Also, if any lawyer or firm or service tells you they can make the process faster or more "rapid" **cough cough**, then stay away. They're lying.

Getting a lawyer will not make the process any quicker, but certainly more expensive.

As anxious as I am I would have gone nuts waiting for a lawyer to receive any news, to open the mail from USCIS, to contact me with updates, etc. I'm a DIY kind of person. We were able to do it ourselves with the help of this forum. If your case has no red flags, etc then save yourself the $$$ and do it yourself.

The process is not any quicker. The use of a lawyer is up to you and how confident you feel filing this. I had previous experience with 2 different lawyers. One highly competent and another one who delayed my N-400, because of a basic mistake. You are not sure how they will perform until you actually used them. I don't flat out dismiss the use of an immigration lawyer. ...but, this is visajourney...where most people come here to post their opinions

Lawyer will make process slower. All they help with is filling out initial paperwork for most part. They will say to only do the minimum. I got rid of my lawyer this week becuase the dude quotes timelines from 10 years ago, unlike people on VJ never mentioned going early walk-in for bio, has zero idea what expedites are for or how they work. I could go on...

if you have an extremely complicated, former asylum etc case different then.

It’s up to you.  You have to slowly and meticulously read instructions and gather the correct documents.  Some people have a Betterhelp aptitude than others for it.  If it’s not your thing, a good lawyer helps.  Otherwise, take your time.  An extra day reading is worth it.  I personally put everything together and then re-read the instruction and checked everything before sending it. You always remember something afterward.
