Holy cow!! Part 4!!?? Waiting for the embassy to issue the visa on the 9th then will try to book the ticket back to the states the same time as me on the 28th.

Hi All,

 

We need your help ?

our visa was approved on Feb 23rd 2018 ,officer gave me white paper which says Your visa is approved .

You should receive your passport within 3-5 days ,

our case is still under AP since 23rd feb ,

Does anyone knows how long it takes to receive the passport or to says Issued ?

Can someone send me a picture of approval slip they received  at Mumbai Embassy ?

Same happening here, my interview was on Feb 27 and my case is still as "Ready"

My case updated right after interview on Feb 23rd 2018 to Admin Process .

My Interview was in Brazil, yes K1. This is a K1 thread.

I attempted to submit an inquiry and it would not let me saying I had already submitted one in the past 30 days...even though it was submitted on 1/29. Are they making me wait 30 days since their last response? Ugh! The wait continues

My RFE will probably get us to Part V though I bombed with extra stuff with color copies of passports , plane tix and color photos of our amazing visit #2 in October. Send them an ORIGINAL certificate of Divorce Absolute, another lengthy beneficiary intent to marry letter (in English and Chinese with certificate of translation) and another Letter of Intent from with a copy of canx check made out to a minister who will perform a ceremony at will.  Take that !!!!!

We are still waiting for our NVC number. On hold with them as I type.

 

Just wanted to confirm my next steps after i get the NVC number:

 

1. I book my medical

2. I book my interview date

 

Do I need to wait for the packet to be able to book the interview?

 

 

Any other tips, advice after we get our NVC?

Yep sweetie you need to wait for Packet 3 to book your interview.   Everyone who's tried booking it before getting Packet 3 from the embassy gets the polite "don't call us, we'll call you" email LOL!!

 

If you like, you can start filling out your DS160 and save it until you're ready to finish it.

 

After you get your NVC number, you can start checking your status on the case tracker https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=WwjqOlbeRYzCYubaSQI+RA==

 

Once it says "Ready", you can anticipate receiving the embassy's Packet 3 letter which tells you to gather your documents using the checklist. 

 

Now you can submit your DS160 and receive your link to the DS160 confirmation page. Save that link in a safe place.

 

Once you have your documents, tick off the items on the checklist. Next, scan that checklist and email it to embassy, along with a link to your DS160 and a colour scan of the bio data page of your passport.

 

After a day or so, you should receive Packet 4 from the embassy. This is a letter that has the link to the Visa booking site where you will first, pay for your Visa, and then you can go ahead and book your interview. Once your interview is booked, you can make the appointment for the medical.

 

Follow all instructions carefully

 

Next: Show up at medical! Then show up at your interview and knock 'em dead!   Then, wait for approval and finally be united with your loved one....yaassssss!

 

LOL!   Congrats on getting this far and I can't wait for you to get your approval and POE!!

I was in Admin Process for less than a day. It really varies per case. You might be seeing an update very soon.
