guys, I'm at a loss.. I feel as if we'll never get approved at this point. I have friends the applied in September that got approved last week..

I don't understand how immigration services can review cases with zero logic.

Have you called or submitted an inquiry?

The one thing we have going for us is that we are not alone.  There are a lot of us waiting.  It would really suck if either of us was the only one left behind.  There are hundreds of us Junies waiting.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

That's so true! it just sucks how it still feels so lonely throughout the whole process... and there's no explanation for any of it.

I assume we will never find out why. I guess maybe we won’t care as long as we can get past this part of the journey.

I have... It never helps or resolves anything :(

What was their response? Ours has been that the security checks are still pending...my congresswoman got the same response. No light at the end of this tunnel at the moment since we have no timeframe as to how much longer this is going to drag in. I also submitted an inquiry to the ombudsman but haven’t gotten a response. This has been the worst experience ever

Glad to see there is still some movement for June! This long wait has been super frustrating! Thank you 😊

@Naes I can’t believe how many from June are still untouched, or just being approved.

I admit that I'm at least satisfying myself and keep it sane by seeing that there is at least movement! And nobody is alone in this... there are people waiting out there...and uscis is working...

Hi All,

A question relating to anyone who has had their K1 Visa Approved from the Sydney Consulate recently.

If all goes well with the interview and I am approved, is the passport (+ new K1 visa) available for pickup on the same day? Or will it be sent to my home address in the coming days after the interview.

Thank you!

Not sure about same day issuance. They took 1 business day after my interview to "Issue" it. I don't know if there is a pickup option? If you live in Sydney you could have it by Friday! I live up in Cairns and I received mine the next Monday after the interview. Less than a week to have my passport in the hand.

Interview - 27th Feb

Issued on CEAC & Posted 1st Mar

Passport delivered - 5th Mar

Hello Junnies! I would like to ask if anyone have the same case as mine. I was approved Jan 10 and already have my MNL case#, fiancé called their office and asked for it. Scheduled my interview April 5th but haven't receive any letter from the NVC for the packet 3&4 (not quite sure whats packet). My CEAC status is ready since 1st week of Feb. Will they require me to present it during my interview? Thank you so much for any reply and good luck everyone!

Thanks. Yes she did tell me right after the approx. 5 minute interview that my visa has officially been approved and that I should expect everything to come back to me within 7 days. My online status has already been changed to "issued". Pretty good!

I had my medical exactly 2 weeks before my interview.  I think that's a very safe timeframe and enough time to get all your medical results to the consulate. I had no problems, everything worked out perfectly!

To to all the Germans out there, the interview was THE MOST RELAXED THING EVER. the people and officers were ridiculously nice and friendly, everyone has a smile on their face, is respectful and understanding and just overall nice. You will be treated well.

I spend a total of 30 mins at the consulate. I did NOT HAVE TO SHOW A SINGLE DOCUMENT except my passport of course, and the DS-160 confirmation page at the outside of the consulate. That was it!!! The questions were the standard "where did you meet him, when did you start dating, do you have any children etc". They will explain very thoroughly what happens after issuance of the visa and what to do.

At the end, when she declared that everything looked great and she  announced with great pleasure that our visa has been approved, she wished us good luck and all the best for our marriage.

Naturally I told her how amazing she is, took all my anxiety and nervousness away in a heartbeat.

I was blown away. Very nice, relaxed and comfortable experience. You mustn't worry, even though I did not have to show any documents or any proof of an ongoing relationship I advise and urge you to bring EVERYTHING you have. I brought well over 150 documents and evidence.

Good luck to everybody. 🍀

Congratulations :jest:and thank you so much for sharing. Just sent the package 3 documents to Frankfurt and I´m getting a little nervous😅

You most likely will not receive a letter from the Embassy. All the info you need is here on Hank’s site. Congratulations.
