Can you fill out what country your embassy will be in and all the other needed information (profile)....it helps when you are asking questions people can answer correctly. Thanks

Same here, still waiting. Ours is December 19 (old) or December 21 (new). This is a forever waiting process. Very difficult but we need to hang in there since we have waited for a long time now.

Welcome to VJ. Can I recommend that you go back 15 tabs and spend a little time "catching up" as this will bring you up to speed. To answer your question yes this is normal. Wait till you get notification that your application has been approved, better known as the NOA2. Then check the CEAC website for when it arrives at NVC. Wait 10 business days and begin calling for your case number once you have that then a whole new world opens. I skimmed over the high points but if you do the reading assignment and cut and paste instructions then you will have them when it's your turn. :thumbs:But hey, one more important item:

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

@Nat&Amy @Emk0rp https://br.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee/the-interview-2/  Maybe this will help. Also, if you select the flag that is in your profile it will bring you to a tool about your Embassy and the process there from others who have gone before you. And in the sub forum for your region found here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/ is where you can ask questions of others and a good place to start a thread for Brazil if there wasn't one started already. If you start one, I'd like the link so I can include it with the information I have on Brazil which right now is a little sparse.

Question: adding proof of planing a wedding

we have a photo and the receipts for our wedding rings

receipt and photo of our invitation to the wedding but no date on it (since we don’t know yet)

text messages as we discuss wedding plans

is all of this ok......or would be considered “too married” ?

along with I recently had a bridal shower in America with females only. I have photos, invitation and gifts. In the photos you can clearly see it’s america and clearly see it’s females only and clearly see my fiancé is not there. (Since he is in Togo) we were going to use this as proof showing intent to marry. But would this also be considered “too married”. Not in traditional clothing, but clearly in American clothing.

Along with in my photos i sent to the uscis we have pictures of promise rings we gave each other. The rings read love endures. We are wearing them on our wedding hand since we are engaged and this can be a custom in America. Along with he also gave me a separate promise ring (the first ring he gave me) a fake very cheap diamond ring that was too large for my finger so I wore it around my neck until it broke. You can clearly see it in many different photos on different days. I stated in the photos it was a promise ring. Along with stating the second rings (we have matching pairs) are promise rings and stated the dates we received them. Separate dates since I was in America and he was in Togo and a friend brought his. My question is....does any of this look “too married”. Got myself a little nervous reading about if I should add bridal shower pictures to our packet and discovered threads on being “too married”. Wondering if any of this sounds “too married” or just following the customs of America. Lol since it was me who insisted on promise rings. Not the culture of Togo.

Thanks

guys, if you received a letter from the uscis after the answer to the rfe, that the case is still under review and so far there are no updates. does this mean that the review will be longer than expected? or this is the standard answer after two weeks?

It's standard. After I get approved, I still get the email because they never update my case status on the new site. Hope you will get NOA2 soon! :D
