Consulate Review: Bangkok, Thailand
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 11, 2018
Embassy Review : I had an appointment at 9.30 but I went there early so they let me in around 8.18.

After going thru security, I had to go to window 1 to send all the documents that I haven't sent on PACKET3 which are the original of my birth certificate, Thai police clearance, certificate of being single, name change certificate and also proof of relationship.

Then they asked me to wait for around 15 minutes. Thai woman at window called my queue number. She was so nice and asked when I will go to America. She checked all the documents again. Then she told me to go inside the interview room.

I had to wait for almost an hour. I was super nervous and there wasn't really nothing to do. All I could do was staring at a Consular Officer and praying for myself. lol

Finally, my time has finally come. He called my number and asked me to swear to answer all the questions honestly.
The questions are...
1. Where did you meet your fiance?
2. So you were in America at that time?
3. Where does he live?
4. What does he do?

And congratulations! Your visa is approved and you will get your passport back within a week.

My experience there was very good. All the officers were so professional and nice as well.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
